This store is straight fire. Tons on great new and used pedals/guitars/amps! The dudes at Carter Vintage wouldnāt do business with me unless I came in dressed like a vegan John Wayne that only listens to b-sides of relatively unknown disco records. (I ran the tests and confirmed this to be true.) The only complaint I have about EMS is that I am self-diagnosed with gear acquisition syndrome (g.a.s.) and when I see a wall of pedals and I tend to get really triggered and spend money which isnāt my fault. They seem to enable this condition which is ok I guess, but some days I just donāt know if Iāll make it. I guess Iām a fighter cuz Iām not dead yet. šŖš It doesnāt even seem like a big deal when I ask to try out some gear. They hand me a guitar cable and a pick without even breaking a sweat which is uncommon and such a blessing. (thereās usually a lot of huffing and puffing involved at other places) Iām sure itās a workout tho. The fact that they understand you want to know what something actually sounds like before spending hundreds/thousands of dollars on it is quite a relief. āGEE, THANKS!ā š Maybe there is hope for humanity. My hope for humanity begins at East Side Music Supply. Where dreams really...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDerek Ness is the best luthier I have ever had the privilege of handing a guitar to for set up or repair. He is an extraordinary gentleman who explains everything he does in detail for your benefit. He set up, repaired and modified multiple Stratocasters, a Jaguar, and a Pink Paisley Telecaster for me. No one on the planet will EVER be allowed to touch my rig other than Derek. My trust in him is bone marrow deep. Furthermore, the gentlemen and wonderful young lady who work there will treat you like family. In my estimation, East Side Music Supply has already out done Gruhn. They have a better Fender collection than Sho-Bud... and yes, I am old enough to have been there. EMS welcomed me in one day. They received a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThese guys are far superior to West Side Music Supply and probably have the best supply of boutique pedals over any highschool in Nashville. Probably a better selection than most of the stores too, but not the internet... the internet has all the pedals. Thanks Blair. Do you ever go in a music store and the guys there just act like there in the in crowd at a Baptist church. And when you go in everyone turns and looks at you as if to say, "Hey! You're late!" And you walk on up and take a seat by your aunt who invited you, because you're back in your hometown and she pinches you on your leg, because you are late, and then you feel guilty. These guys would never do that... except for Blair, Blair might pinch your leg...
