Smith Springs Community Center — Local services in Nashville-Davidson

Even though this is a nice looking building and we did need this in our neighborhood, there is definitely some things they need to work on as far as rules!!!!! Every time i go in there, there is some new rule or reason why we can not use they gym, fitness or pool!! Today i took my three kids to swim and was told that because i have two under 4 ft that one would have to sit out the pool as i swim with the other child, i have one that is 1 1/2 and a 5 yr old. They stated its pool safety but u a life gaurd and im their mother!!! On top of that my fiance wanted to use the bball gym and for ABSOLUTELY NO REASON THE GYM WAS CLOSED FROM 12-3 TODAY..... THEY DID NOT HAVE ANY REASON JUST SAID THAT WE HAVE TO GO BY THE SCHEDULE!!! 3 dollars for a small fitness center a day and limited time usuasge is a little ridiculous also.... im not going back there!! Seems they make up their rules day by day because no where in the pool area was posted you can not swim with more than one child under 4ft. Asked manager she said they took the wrong sign down..... they definitely need to get a hold of what their doing in there before they dnt have any businesses at all... which the few times i have been there, there was no one in there anyway!!!! These rules should have been well thought out before trying to open a community center!!!!!!!!! I wasted my time going there today!!! So any single parents with more than one child i suggest you do not attempt to take them here as you will not be able to take all your kids swimming!!!!! Its bull to me!! Never have i ever been to a pool area that a parent could not take their children swimming because of their height!!!!!!!!!! So smith springs community center, yall need to get it...

My family's participation here began with the ground breaking ceremony, and when the doors were opened to the public on July 21, 2018! This beautiful facility is indeed a blessing for our community. The pool has helped me to walk stronger and live healthier with less painful joints. The staff's professional, friendly and engaging behavior add to the peaceful ambience of this much needed facility. One rude lifeguard that is not trained at all! I am sure there are so many ways to ask people to leave the pool at the end of swimming time other than screaming and yelling at people.... swimming time ended at 1pm and after 3 min she started yelling at the children like if they were sheep’s.
