There are several things wrong with how they handle business. I went into the office to return equipment because its the only way they will cancel your cable. Well they sent these 2 small boxes 2 years ago, that i did not ask for or even use. Okay, so fine I tell her I have no idea where the box is I never used it. Now, I did turn in all the equipment that I was actually using on my TV and asked her to cut off the cable. She said I need the other box, go home and look again, I said I have no idea where the other box is so what can I do. She said go home look all over again for it. I said ok, thanks. Unknown to me because she did NOT say she can't cancel cable, I left not thinking again about it. Then I get a full months bill for cable, so I call and the person I spoke with says, I see where you turned in your equipment this should be your last bill. If there is an over payment they will refund. I said great, so cable will be disconnected, he said no problem........well guess what I got ANOTHER stupid bill and its HIGHER than the last one. I am so angry I would love to disconnect my internet from them but sad to say they are the only game in town so I am stuck. I will however be back at cable one tomorrow and not with a smile. It has cost me an extra $120, and have not even watched cable. I TELL EVERYONE GET THE AMAZON FIRESTICK IT IS GREAT WE LOVE OURS.... to heck with...
Read moreI have purchased Sparklight for the new home my wife and I are moving into. I waited two weeks after purchase for my appointment on Monday. I get the automated call Sunday night to confirm my appointment, and once I do it tells me that a technician will call me to let me know what time he will be there before the appointment. This is great because I have to work but can be there for when the install happens if I know when that will be. Most of the day goes by and I call support to see what happened. I eventually get told that the technician showed up to my house but left because no one was home. Of course no one was home!! I have a job and I did not receive a phone call prior to the tech arriving. The support rep sets me up for another appointment yesterday and puts in the notes that I MUST be called prior to arriving because I can be at the house fast. SAME THING HAPPENS. Call support again and get told the tech showed up and left because no one is home. Now I cannot get an appointment for over 2 weeks!!!! 2 weeks to go without internet service in the house WHEN I AM PAYING FOR IT NOW. That and they will probably just do the exact same thing once again when the appointment date finally arrives. Do not buy Sparklight in this town. They are scammers. Their techs do not want to do work or follow protocol when you are paying for it and you will be left...
Read moreYou know, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and boy was I mistaken. I bought the service and have, like so many others, waited for the tech to show up. I called multiple times to make sure he/she knew to knock loudly because we are wiring the old house. My subcontractors and I were standing inside the door, having just walked in from looking at a the meterbase and walked back out only to see that the technician had walked up to the door, and not seeing a door bell hung a tag stating we missed the appointment. No knock; no nothing. Twas the ultimate in moronic customer service. Was as annoying as my use of "twas" in the preceeding sentence. Not only did he DATE his call-tag a month ago (today is September 21, 2023 not August 21, 2023) he also fudged his numbers, writing he had come an hour earlier at 2:18. What he/she didn't know was that between 2:09 and 2:35, I was standing on the porch, on the phone with Sparklight. He/she came after 3:00. The technicians at this location are too irresponsible in their service to the community--pure lazy. We need to meet with the city council about bringing in another cable company to provide services to the area. I immediately called and...
