I went with my mum for something fun to do in between my hospital stays and to celebrate her birthday. We'd both wanted to play mini golf for a while, but when I go back to my hometown to see her it's usually winter and when she comes here we often have too many other things to see and do.
It was well maintained, the colonial theme is cute, and has nice little factoids if you care to read them. They didn't question my service dog, which they shouldn't but some places do. The gentleman running the booth was very friendly and have is complimentary water because they were out of something we wanted, and my dog needed water.
THE REASON I HAVE THEM 4 STARS: something I read said they were wheelchair accessible, our main reason for choosing this place as I'm in a wheelchair. It was not really accessible at all, but we made it work for us, with a little bit of cheating, and making use of what little walking ability I do have to take a few assisted steps around things. ALSO, if you're a lefty expect to have some difficulty on certain holes because you just can't get the right angle you need, they're obstacles in your way that aren't there for righty folks- like a giant prickly shrub for instance. Decorations - Every hole has a Revolutionary War era historical fact, different fairway/hole design and big decoration (old North Church, Faneuil Hall, a fort, etc.). There also can be sound effects, lights and pipes/wheels running the ball to different places.
User-friendly - polite staff, waiting areas, east to find (on rte. 9), restaurants nearby, ample parking and even frozen treats (ice cream truck-like frozen items: popsicles, italian ice, etc.).
Covid-ready - sanitizer, attentive/masked staff, regular cleaning, mask rules, space to wait and a great rule that you cannot start your hole until the party in front of you tees off from the next hole.
Read moreGreat course, though only went once. Artwork was incredible, atmosphere patriotic. Greens were relatively well maintained and the cement edges made it easy to stay within the course at all times. Creativity in hole design was kinda mid. There were quite a few holes that were just re-skins of previous holes so probably 9 different hole designs total. Might get boring and the music repetitive over time but for a visitor to the area looking for a history lesson and a diversion I'd...
