We attended the Hearth Cooking Class yesterday 2/1/25. It was great. Not too crowded. Authentic open hearth cooking. We got to eat what we prepared and were shown how to cook it in the Whitall House's open hearth. We also got a guided tour of the house, history, and recent archeological discoveries on the site. They really care about their community and it shows. Such a pleasure. The 8 of us attendees prepared food dishes for the various menu items. Thankfully, the 3 GC historical society members did the actual cooking at the hearth while we got a tour throughout the home.
