I decided to treat myself to a massage for Mother’s Day. I booked a 1hr Swedish massage with Akelia. This was my first time getting a massage here but I heard amazing things about Akelia so I was excited. When I arrived to the spa I immediately felt welcomed by the energy. Akelia greeted me as soon as I came in and lead me to the massage room. There she went over some of the things on the form I previously filled out, asked if I was having any problem areas, how “soft or hard” I liked my massages and if I had on preference on the area I wanted her to start with. I explained I also preferred a silent massage as I like to relax. She explained how the massage would go & left to give me time to undress & get situated on the table. Once on the table I could immediately smell the eucalyptus essential oil. I’m not sure if the headrest “sheet” was infused with it or what but that was one of my favorite things as I’ve never had that experience at a spa. When Akelia came back in she asked if I was okay and proceeded to start the massage and let me just say the entire massage was a bomb 10 out of 10. She listened to exactly how I said I liked it and executed perfectly. Halfway through she asked if I was okay to check in. I fell asleep during some point of the massage. Ebony did an amazing job with my “drift” package! I enjoyed the relaxing head spa and much need hot stone back massage. I also got to go sit in the red salt room which was nice. Ebony was very kind and professional , explaining every thing and had told me that someone else would be getting me from the salt room. At some point someone quickly walks outside the door and says “15 minutes” with a knock and keeps walking. I had tried to say “mam?” to clarify if I needed to be dressed by the end of that time despite not being able to keep up with it in my own, so I assumed she was giving me a heads up and would come back when it was over. I heard a knock outside the door I think I said yes, after a second I hear an almost rude sounding “your time is up”. Then she walked away. Now I know this could have been a misinterpretation but I knew when I booked the appointment I was informed to plan 15 minutes on to the service after to use the hair bar if needed. I needed to detangle my hair and nobody was around to direct me what to do next or where to go, nor did I ever see who supposedly knocked on the door. I had to ask the kind woman at the desk and she provided a room where I took just a couple minutes to detangle my hair. Not to rant because the experience over all was amazing, but maybe some better communication from those that appear to be lacking. Overall I otherwise...

From the moment I stepped foot in the door, I was greeted immediately by the owner, it was clean, smells fresh, but not overwhelming. I was brought back immediately with no waiting. I had a hydroglow facial, foot soak, indulgence massage, and Japanese head spa treatment. Everyone was professional, respectful, and kind. I was pampered to the fullest. I walked out feeling refreshed. The staff took their time, never felt rushed, made sure I was comfortable at all times. Very calming and relaxing environment.
