This is my second time dining at this restaurant and honestly, it was better than the first time. I dined inside with 2 other guests and witnessed each employee correctly wearing masks and the guests were all seated at every other table or more apart adhering to the social distancing practices as required. It was approximately 6pm on a Thursday evening and the restaurant was moderately packed as it generally is for this small town. We were quickly seated and our drink orders were taken right away. Directly afterwards, chips and salsa were delivered as anticipated. The most impressive thing about this visit was how quickly our food arrived after ordering especially with a nearly full house. I am not 100% sure of the exact amount of time it was; however, I would guess that it was approximately 10-15 minutes and the food was most definitely fresh and hot. This isn't the best part. The best part was just how delicious the food was and the fact that I ate absolutely every bite!! I ordered the vegetable and rice bowl with steak and shrimp in it. Sorry, as I was trying to write this my recall of the actual menu name of this dish just vanished and I can only say it included the word "bowl"🤷♀️🤦♀️ The rice was soft and flavorful, the various meats were perfectly cooked, and the vegetables were juicy and tender without any hardness indicating that they were not fully prepared. No, they were just right with delicious flavors that I scarfed like I hadn't eaten in days!!! I'm a huge fan of authentic Mexican food and I am confident in stating that this restaurant is authentic not only in their cuisine but also in the service and quality of their service. I recommend this establishment for anyone who also enjoys a good quality authentic Mexican meal with prices that are appropriately requested for the economics of this area. My two guests were equally satisfied and we will definitely be returning in the future.
¡Gracias restaurante el Toro Bravo por su deliciosa comida y servicios de calidad!...
Read moreI usually stay away from Mexican food if the state doesn't border Mexico, but this was a solid find recommended by a friend!
Great value for the price! Got the Grande Quesadilla and almost couldn't finish it. The best part was the tortilla they used, it was perfect! Light and crispy, and held together through the meal. The quesadilla was so massive though I had to eat a lot of it with a knife and fork lol. The filling isn't super high quality meat, but they load it up with protein and cheese, so worth it.
They give you a large basket of chips to start with, and another great thing is they give you a little bottle of salsa so you can keep pouring yourself more for the chips and then the meal also, very nice touch instead of the usually tiny bowls of salsa you have to keep asking for.
Definitely coming back again to try more things next time...
Read moreWas passing through and found this restaurant on our GPS. Didn't seem like very many options in this town, so we stopped in.
We got there before the lunch crowd and got our food in under 10 minutes. Food was good and decently portioned. Prices were excellent compared to other Mexican restaurants we've been to. It's not very large so we noticed people coming in during the lunch rush had 30+ minute wait times.
Overall, a good experience and good food. Not sure I'll find myself coming through this town again, but will definitely drop in...
