My daughter went there for 4 years and after paying all that money to graduate, they held their bachelor's graduation outside in the rain. All of us family members and the graduating students had to sit in the rain for hours, while the staff was under a make shift platform. How disgusting and low class can you get? From what the students say their new chancellor decided they weren't worth her paying the money for the regular facility they usually use and they weren't even worth using one of the campus buildings. So, you mean to tell me, these young adults worked that hard and couldn't even get a library or gym on the campus. She needs to fired!!! You don't try to save money at the expense of these graduates who have paid and worked very hard to enjoy having a graduation ceremony with their family members. I got kicked off the team over text messages saying I’m “intimidating, rude, and uncomfortable.” I barely spoke to any of those girls and let them say anything and everything about me and to me, but once I spoke up for myself, the head coach did not like that. I wasn’t allowed to wear my curls until I repeatedly told her my hair was getting damaged then she finally told me I could, as long as my hair is “maintained and polished.” I was told from the beginning two of teammates didn’t like me because I was black, my hair would get called weave and three girls would put on a “blaccent” around me. I was attending this school for a music composition degree, and it served as nothing but a road block for myself and my education. I was corralled into lines, like a greenhorn of any industry, but those lines stayed straight - never allowing a spark of creativity to kick start the pistons of my mind. The musical system put in place at this higher education affiliate has failed.
