Eclectica Beads — Local services in New Berlin

I have taken three silver PMC classes at Eclectica in the last two weeks. Two were 3 hour classes and then I took a 2-day level 1 certification class. All three were taught by Irina, the shop owner. I cannot speak more highly of Irina and the classes. The class size is perfect to allow Irina to easily move around the work tables and be hands on when needed. She provides detailed demonstrations of a series of steps and then we all go back to work on that at our worktables. I received a lot of information in each class fortified by using these techniques in the classroom. I'm amazed at how much I learned in each class. The jewelry that we create in the classes is beautiful that I am excited to wear. I received many pieces from each class.

I've taken a full day wire wrapping boot class from Irina at the Milwaukee Bead Show that was also great. Again, I learned different techniques using different types of wire. We made three pendants with three sets of matching earrings. I have friends who have asked if they can purchase the pieces from me. When taking classes from Irina, you can be assured you will be working with high quality materials and on attractive designs.

Her store is huge and offers a wide variety of beads, findings, tools, books, and anything a jewelry designer could dream of. Be sure to allow yourself time to look through the entire store. I own four books that Irina has written which are written and illustrated well.

I could not agree more with Lisa's review. Although a few of the sales people are courteous, the managers are not. Much of my time in the store is wasted on waiting to have a display case opened. I was even scolded once for actually returning the tray to the case and the manager had to look for the items in order to price them. Imagine being scolded by someone who is being paid by your purchases. I shop in this store at least every two weeks and have spent hundreds of dollars. However, as for the punch card system, if my purchase is even $99.99 they will not give me the extra tenth stamp. Really? Does it cause the store to loose anything (other than possibly a customer) by giving a 10% discount on a second purchase after spending $100. The store owner should implement better business practices!

I absolutely LOVE everything about this store. I've always been treated with utmost respect, and when ever I have a question if the person I have asked can't help, someone else can and does. I have taken many classes and I can't say enough about the teachers! They always bend over backwards to make the attendees comfortable no matter what their beading level, or ability is. I can't imagine any one of them ever being rude in any way! It makes me wonder about the attitude of those who wrote less than complimentary reviews. Like mother always said,you catch more flies with honey than vinegar! Anyway, I love going in there. I always feel so welcome, like they are your best friends!
