The Neighbors Bar & Grille — Restaurant in Village of Waukesha

On March 16 2018 I ordered a fish pick up order for the first time ever I never went here before. Didn't know what to expect I walked in about 430 really busy it was March madness so everybody was hanging out in there. I received my order I was excited about they had potato pancakes. I drove 10 minutes to my house and opened up the packages and there was no applesauce , coleslaw, or tarter sauce or bread. There was three dark pieces of fish and two burned potato pancakes. I was very very upset so I called not so nice I was yelling at the man on the phone. Very rude on my part I shouldn't of yelled. But I told him I want my money back, the man on the other side of the phone was super nice and told me to come in and he would give me a new fish order he totally appoligized and said that he doesn't do business essential like that he wants everyone to be satisfied when coming in. I went in I got my money back and a new order of fish also I talked to the man that I del with on the phone he was waiting for me and super nice again. He turned my attitude around I appoligized to him for being rude and upset. He said he understood and he was sorry that happened. Our first visit. It's a nicely maintained bar and very casual restaurant with a small outdoor deck. Nice TVs in several locations, big bar and the obligatory video gambling games. We were there at 6:30 on a Wednesday and it was moderately busy. LOUD. There are high ceilings, tile floors, hard chairs, stainless steel table tops and no window treatments--just nothing to absorb all that noise.

We each had tap beer and paninis. My braised beef rib panini was GREAT and the waffle fries were crispy and good. My husband's chicken panini was not very good; too many chunks of chicken were tough. The tator tots were average. Everything was served really hot, which was nice, but in paper-lined plastic baskets. The paper gets greasy & tears into shreds. We were disappointed with our server, who made no effort to explain the menu when we said it was our first visit. She never asked if our meals were okay or if we needed anything until she asked if we wanted dessert. We will try it again (and I'll probably have to have the same panini!) and hopefully enjoy a...

I can't say enough about this place. The food is fantastic, there's something for everyone. Whatever you're into (wings, burgers, pizza, Italian, Mexican, sandwiches, apps), you'll find something on this menu that you'll like and it will come out quickly and expertly prepared. The bloody Mary's... To die for.

The whole place is cleaned and well maintained and the staff is friendly. This is the place I take my pickiest friends because I know they will leave satisfied.

The common complaints I see in other reviews is noise and price. It does get loud in dining room during peak hours but I don't really know what they could do about it. As for the price... I'm a tight wad and I think it's worth every penny. This is not your run of the mill bar food coming from the freezer to the deep fryer. It is excellently prepared food that will knock your socks off time...
