PowerHouse Cards — Local services in New Braunfels

Sports card scalpers that switched to scalping Pokemon after realizing how profitable it is. Absolutely terrible pricing all around. This is the only card shop I have ever been to that doesn’t have tables to play tcg. They do not care about the culture behind what they are selling, just that it sells. Terribly ugly, very cramped, INCREDIBLY overpriced. The WORST prices of any card shop in New Braunfels. After the pokemon craze dies down I am sure they won’t last long.

Edit to address the response: you’re not brave for pricing everything off of TCGplayer. You are just proving my point that your product is nothing to you but a value from a website. Also, “scalping” doesn’t exclusively entail buying from retail stores and reselling at a higher price (which you do anyways), reselling your allocations you are given for at 3x the price you are supposed to list them for is also considered scalping. Went in to the shop today wanting to check it out after visiting another shop here in town. I was very impressed with the amount of available products and singles that they had. I was also very impressed and pleased with the customer service I was given!! I will definitely be back as this is our new go to spot in New Braunfels! Better prices and availability than the other shops...

Took our 14-year-old son to PowerHouse Cards today and we had a great experience. Easily one of the best card stores we've ever been to, and Shawn the co-owner could not have been any nicer. Incredible assortment of cards. We're visiting New Braunfels and we will definitely be back the next time...
