Chicken Express — Restaurant in New Braunfels

I went to the chicken express location in clear springs for dinner this evening. At the drive through, I ordered a 4 count strip meal and asked them to make the strips and corn nuggets fresh. I do this every time and never have any problems. However, the girl on the speaker seemed irritated that I asked for it to be made fresh. After waiting in the line and asking for 4 BBQ sauces with my meal, she went on to explain that I was only allowed 2 and would need to pay for the other 2. I am unsure of who made this policy but I just spent $12 for a 4 count meal and can’t have 4 sauces to go with it?!? I can go to Chick-fil-A and get a meal for cheaper with all the sauce I want. Don’t raise your prices on food and then also charge for each sauce. That’s bad business. Also, I realized that I had received a roll instead of the biscuit that I had ordered with my meal. This was corrected but the biscuit was hard and inedible. On top of all of this, I arrived home to eat and had 5 tiny 1.5” nuggets (not strip size at all) that were mostly crust. There was one edible nugget in the box that wasn’t mostly crust. Completely unacceptable for a $12 meal. I called the location and requested to speak with the manager named Norma. She told me that everything that I asked for was done and she could only replace the strips if I came back right now. I am not wasting gas and driving all the way back after getting home. I told her this and that I might have a family member stop to get it on their way home but she stated it had to be tonight by 10pm or she couldn’t help. I went ahead and ate the corn nuggets which were good but now I will have to eat the strips by themselves if we end up getting them tonight since no other option was provided. This was a unacceptable customer experience and I will be taking my business elsewhere if this is...

I went with my husband to get 2 #1 meals, we both wanted rolls, coleslaw and dr.pepper and 1 of them was supposed to have NO ICE. Well the girl at the speaker box kept saying Okra. I do not like okra as I'm alergic to it and so is my husband. Well she gave the total and we pulled around to the window, girl comes over very rude and says with ice or without on your drinks? I said 1 no ice, 1 with ice, she slams the window. Then she comes back and I said to her can she make sure my food was correct? She sat rats reading the receipt back and says you had 2 #1 one of them with okra and one of them with coleslaw. I said no they were both supposed to be coleslaw, the.mn she slams window shut. she comes back and says it was fixed and said it was $19.86, gave her my card and said rudely do you want a receipt? I said yes please. she hands me the receipt, window slams hard. then comes back hands me the bag and then the Dr Pepper with ice and then Dr Pepper no ice, and then the 2 straws, as when she was handing me the straws I was fixing to ask for some of the spicy Pepper salt she says have a great day rudely and the window slams hard. I pulled up and went to see if my order was right and it was still wrong still had okra in it. this place needs to learn some nice friendly manners, and to teach their employees how to respect their customers not just be rude. if you don't want to be their then quit or leave, just don't be rude when I didn't do anything wrong was making sure my food was right so I could eat with my husband. food was also cold and disgusting. drinks also didn't have carbonation in them as well.

First off I wanna start off This review with Gloria is a superstar employee. We were heading back from seguin with 3 hungry kids and needing dinner they begged me to stop at chicken express. 2 children love the chicken and one only eats fries. We got our order and headed home to New Braunfels . When we got home I noticed the fries were missing with a screaming toddler asking for fries and knowing driving back was out of the question I figured I would call and let them know so next time we go they can replace them. But Gloria answered and said I know what’s it’s like I will personally drive them to you. Since this has never happened i thought she was joking. She asked for my address and 15 minutes later she knocked on the door with the fries and 3 cookies for the kids. I was so grateful and my toddler got his fries and a cookie. Everyone happy !!! By far the best service I have ever received when it comes to calling about food being left out of the order . Major applause to you Gloria and just know you are truly a great employee and chicken express should cherish you !!! Thank you again everyone is happy and the cookies...
