Here, a brief run to the store always turns into a wonderful afternoon out with the family. Highly recommend you bring your little ones, there is a snow machine inside that snows on guests a pretend snow (fully safe, just a mixture of rubbing alcohol, dawn detergent, and distilled water)a perfect photo opportunity for the whole family. Even a theater that shows a company history introduction movie, as well as Christmas classics during the holidays. They offer the property as a wedding venue as well and you are always bound to bump into Joyce Byers herself as she is so dedicated to her store, her factory, and beautiful pieces. We decided to visit this past weekend because we live so close and I've heard great things about the experience. I don't collect the figurines, and my husband had no idea what they were, so I wasn't sure how much we would enjoy visiting, but I must say, we really had a pleasant time. The building itself is very clean and very nicely decorated. The interior is set up like an old-timely streetscape, there is a massive old-fashioned Christmas set-up of the figurines, which is very impressive. There is a museum of many of the first figures made, and a room dedicated to nativities collected from all over the world. Very impressive.
