Food Country USA — Local services in New Castle

While visiting New Castle for about 9 days I had 3 experiences with Food Country, their product and the staff. 1st- daughter called to order 3 pizzas staff was very rude and stated if 3 were being ordered she would need a lot more time. 2nd I stopped in for a few things- don’t think I’ve ever been in a grocery store that carried only 2 flavors of Ben and Jerry’s ice cream - like what’s that! Cashier arguing with another cashier- not professional at all even if “joking” 3rd was my last day there and the last day I will ever shop there - was told by employee that “Corporate doesn’t want us bagging milk” due to more than one incident of milk in the car we asked for it to bagged to which we were ignored- I ended up bagging it myself. I get it’s a small town store but I will drive back over the mountain or go without before shopping here again!! I hope if you do feel that you have to shop here make sure you ask for all orders to be double bagged. Your paying for those...

Still wondering if the rumors are true from an employee that they turn off their refrigerators for their dairy products at night.. I bought cheese and it was melted together (Opened it 5mn away) and Ive seen their entire dairy products shelves wiped out at least 3 times now... youre NOT saving money if you have to throw away your produce or certainly if anyone ends up sick because they will sue. We shop Food Country all the time. A small town area with a great variety in the grocery. They have a food bar you can purchase to - go meals etc. Bakery, pharmacy inside and hair salon ( Studio Reflections) in entrance of building. You can grab a bite, do groceries and leave with great looking hair. Very friendly people and handicap...
