9/25 - Choosing to support our local farms, we bought butter and sugar corn from two nearby places for a late Labor Day meal. As a local guide, I put Barden on Google Maps four to five years ago. So happy to see their continued success.
Incredibly fresh produce straight from Barden's and other local farms. Dairy milk, jams, granola, snack mixes, popcorns, olive oil & vinegars, breads, cookies, cheese, honeys and syrups. Small place packed with good things. Some produce is seasonal. The scallions I bought the other day were huge and flavorful.    Read moreBarden Farm has a brick and mortar farm market right in downtown New Hartford. There is a parking area with street parking as well. The building looked historic and the farm market was a delight.
They had flowers, fresh produce, various goodies, and even an ice cream shop in the back. The people working there were friendly also. I love that small town vibe.
On this visit, I purchased tomatoes, onion, lemon cucumbers (yes, that is a thing and it's delicious), and whoopie pies. The ice cream was good too, I had the banana pie.
