I used to absolutely love this location but for some reason their deli team is just not what it used to be. We put an order for chicken at 3:30 PM for the order to be ready at 4:30. Apparently from what we found out When we GOT THERE at 4:31PM the young lady that was cooking the chicken was on her 15 minute break and didn't see thr order until she got back. So we had to wait an extra 20 minutes to get our order. I was not so much upset about the whole timing but a courtesy call could have helped everyone avoid the whole situation. Especially the part where the young man with the dyed blue hair made spitting noises and pretended to spit in our food, all while laughing with the rest of the deli team. When wanting to speak to a deli manager my sister and I were told that their manager wasn't there and they were going to get a store manager instead. Well instead of getting a store manager we got the assistant manager and all he could tell us was "sorry"....really sorry for what? The fact that your employee was rude and disrespectful? This whole experience has really just kept me from wanting to ever return...

The New lenox location is of course in direct competition with Jewel food store nearby, therefore the store is stocked properly & food rotation of new & old product is maintained properly. That being said, the Manhattan store is one of the worst examples of store management I've ever seen, shortages of product, rotation of product is haphazard at best, criminal at worst. Many times I've found expired product on the shelves. Personnel is another problem. Ill prepared representatives, bad mannered reps @ the main desk. Store is dirty & the isle set up is ridiculous. I'd advise you to shop in New Lenox the Manhattan store is a wreck, & they don't...
Read moreGreat meat selection and good prices and sales… I’m almost always totally happy with my visits! However the tall thin younger guy working the deli during the day has been rude to my dad—for asking a simple question about the sale—on several occasions. For example, walking around to the front of the deli case to remove a sale sign, and slamming it down on the counter. My dad is too proud to say something, however I’ll speak up, considering this is incredibly out of line when someone is asking a simple question. Find a job where you’re less miserable, or learn how to treat your customers better. Plain and simple. Luke from produce was always awesome. Be more like Luke, dude...
