I stopped in one morning to purchase a stihl chain saw. After asking for assistance the salesperson showed me some of the ropes of starting and up sold me special fuel that added two more years warranty. When I got home I went to the backyard to cut some of the logs. Starting was not easy nor were the instructions given at the store adequate. After the saw started I found it wouldn’t cut. Here the blade was installed backwards. The saw ran great but after the day I decided that a spare blade would be in the future very helpful. The next morning I stopped at the hardware store early because I was pulling a trailer not to mention not wanted to stop In the middle of my day to waste time going to the store. Found not many people working at the early hours and had a tuff time finding Stihl chainsaw blades in fact none to be found. I thought how strange a Stihl dealer not having blades. I purchased what I could find. Hours later I decided to tryout the new blade. It didn’t fit right. I called and found out they do have Stihl blades but they choose not to Display them the or put up a sign to say they have them. So in the middle of my day I dragged my trailer back the the Ace Hardware to return one blade and purchase the blade that was hidden from the normal everyday public. I...

Support local business! I am so glad to have ace here in town. Don't ask me why but my 7 year old daughter loves this store and has to come with me everytime I go there. Some people complain about the prices but the simple matter is their prices aren't that bad and me being able to drive here and back in less than 2 minutes versus fighting boardman traffic is more than enough incentive to shop here..factor in the fact that you can always find someone willing to help you and this is a no Brainer. Highly recommend village ace hardware...
