The VFW hosted a blood drive at their New Milford location. It was clean, bright and open. As I waited for my name to be called, I thought on the many who had come to the VFW. Had I grown up in New Milford my parents (dad, Army WWII and mom, US Navy, WWII Nurse) would have attended events here. I thought on what many have done in war and how they found the VFW a help in their lives. It has made me think perhaps I should do more. Perhaps I should see what I can do beyond giving blood.
