This salon has a very positive and professional atmosphere. The stylists are a BLESSING! Each person is genuine, helpful, and knowledgeable about natural hair care. They all collectively helped me with a bridal style for my destination wedding. Kristin recommended a protective style due to the wind, rain, and humidity. Close to the date I panicked. Akeisha consulted with me to first assure me that everything would be ok then to discuss details. During that consult, Kewain Scott stopped what she was doing to give input as she would actually install my bridal look. She recommended a style she no longer does but thought it would work best due to the weather unknowns and the natural look I wanted. She showed me a video of the install and sent me links to the hair that would work best. Long story short, on install day, the hair was pre-looped and not what she needed. I nearly had a panic attack and she calmed me down. She got a plan B together in minutes and asked the staff to help unloop the hair. She helped me, she educated me, she comforted me, she laughed with me, she was EVERYTHING!! I loved the final look and it worked perfectly for the wedding. Kewain even kept up with me and refreshed the look before I left. She checked on my nerves before the wedding and provided tips for the day of. I cannot express how grateful I am for her help and guidance. The other stylists encouraged me and even helped me rethink my daughter’s style, which Falisha installed both beautifully and quickly! This was above and beyond service and definitely something we should all experience. This was our black community supporting one another with professionalism and positivity. They are Queens who helped me with my crown 👑 for one of the most special days of my life. I am so humbled, grateful, and thankful for this salon. I highly recommend Kewain and all of the TByT stylists. You will not be disappointed and you will feel genuinely cared for and...
Read moreI have been coming to Touches by Tircuit for a few years and I truly enjoyed my experience with my stylist; however, after this last incident I will not be returning to the salon as a customer. I fell ill and tried to cancel my appointment outside of the 24 hour advance notice window. Despite me explaining to the receptionist that I needed to cancel my appointment due to me not wanting to risk the health of my stylist and her staff, the salon still refused to make an exception and charged my card. I believe that it is asinine to charge someone for a service they never received despite having a legitimate reason for the cancellation. Touches by Tircuit customer service was subpar in this instance and they need to reevaluate their policies.
Update: While I appreciate your response, your response was misleading. I have never canceled an appointment the same day. Three of those cancellations that you mentioned were due to your staff calling me to cancel as a result of your hairstylist’s availability. The other cancellations were actually reschedules and were done via your website and within the allotted timeframe as per your policy. There is nowhere in your policy that says a customer has a limit on when he/she can reschedule or cancel an appointment. While $30 may seem small to you, it is not to me as I was charged for a service that I did...
Read moreFirst salon relaxer in New Orleans - stylist didn't use timer and I have burns oozing pus from my scalp. While rinsing shampoo out I communicated the water pressure was too high and causing pain - I was told to keep my head back and the pressure could not be lowered. The pain I was feeling turned out to be pressure on open sores all around my head.I told her about allergic reactions causing scalp irritations and hair breakage which she ignored and claimed it was heat damage instead ( I previously had breast cancer and developed a soy allergy never put heat on my hair). She insisted on cutting my hair extremely short and I told her I'd give it thought however she took another client while I was thinking it over. I decided to leave at this point- she offered a style but each low maintenance and easy for her to do one I advised (small loose bun, ponytail..etc) she declined and insisted on cutting now. Again ignoring the information I told her about my health and going with "heat damage".. After preaching to me about how moisturizing my Hair is so so important -I left The chair with no moisturizer on my hair and no oil on my scalp after a CHEMICAL treatment. My hair has clumped and melted into my burns- some areas are 2nd degree. Nightmare experience. One star for salon...
