Olinde's Grocery — Local services in New Roads

Our go-to quick trip shop in town. It's a bit more expensive than Walmart or Super One, but we absolutely LOVE their ready to eat food section in the back of the store! They have everything from full dinner plates (ie: Hamburger Steak and mashed potatoes) to salads (big and small) to fruit parfaits, chinese food, jambalaya, lots of sides, and my favorite, Muffaletta! They also have a variety of cakes and pie. 🥧 General groceries, Sodas, fresh produce, alcohol and tobacco items, cookie cakes, dish soap, utensils, you name it, they've got it. And make sure to check out their mouth watering Jalapeno cheese bread and baked goods at the checkout line! Friendly, fast service, (they'll even help you to your car!) And like I said, it's a bit more pricey than the big chains, but, you get what you pay for y'all! The store is hidden away on the left hand side of the road right past the court house and the old Raymond's Pharmacy if you're headed out of New Roads towards Waterloo or the levee. Good sized parking lot, but it is hard to see oncoming traffic when you're leaving out,...

This is a great little indie grocery store. The staff is friendly and the layout is super efficient and logical.

Olinde’s is able to stay well stocked despite the smaller building footprint. The employees, management team, and owners care about the customer experience and it shows.

Olinde’s can also prepare party trays if you call ahead at least a couple of days...
