ON MARCH 9TH AROUND 2PM I NEEDED A CATERER FOR MY GRAMS FURNURAL AND OWENS GROCERY WAS WELL RECOMENDED SO I WENT THERE AND STAFF WAS VERY NICE TELL I ASKED FOR A MANAGER BECAUSE I WANTED IT ORDER SOME CATERING.WELL AFTER A FEW MIN A YOUNG GAL CAME UP TO ME AND SAID"YOUR JUST GUNNA HAVE TO CALL ROB"DIT NOT INTRODUCE HERSELF OR ANYTHING.WELL I SAID IM FROM SPOKANE AND WOULD TO JUST PLACE AN ORDER FOR THE 25TH OF MARCH FOR A FURNRAL AT 1PM AT SHERMAN AN NAP.AND SHE SAID AGAIN "YOUR JUST GUNA HAVE TO CALL ROB"AS SHE WAS SMACKING HER GUM AND GIVING ME A DIRTY LOOK.DIDNT OFFER ME A MENU OR ROBS NO.FOR THAT MATTER...WELL I THOUGHT IM GUNA GIVE THIS ONE MORE TRY AND SAID CANT I JUST PLACE AN ORDER.THINKING ROB COULD LOOK AT IT AND CALL ME IN THE AM NEXT DAY.WELL IT DIDNT WORK OUT LIKE THAT.AS SHE WAS STILL SMACKING HER GUM SHE RUDELY SAID"WELL WHAT DO YOU WANT!!!"AGAIN NOT OFFERING ME ANY OPTIONS BUT CALLING ROB.,WELL I LOST MY COOL AND SAID NEVER MIND I WILL GO SOME WHERE BETTER AND NICER... The customer service, people and everything about the place has never disappointed ever!!i usually stop in once a month or so when in the area for some sort of something.rather it be an amazing sandwich, huckleberry shake,deli food,etc.but today was the greatest experience I've ever had.stopped in for a sandwich.dora was the wonderful woman that made my amazing sandwich.i gotta say she's a hoot.lol.as friendly as all could be, funny, professional,silly, just a great conversation along with a good laugh and even a smirk when I made a smart a$$ comment.couldnt have had a better day after chatting with her while she made my sandwich.not to mention my sandwich was great as well.all in all awesome and amazing down home customer service,vibe, atmosphere, feeling and customer service.you guys keep on keeping on and I'll keep coming in for more.highly highly recommend Owens in Newport.10/10 and...

Owens has a lot to offer besides the nostalgia of the past. An actual ice cream/milkshake bar you can sit at and get your food. Their deli has hot and cold items, amazing sandwiches (made just how you like them) and a friendly atmosphere. I love Owens and they made us feel so welcome when we first moved here.
