So sad I’m writing this review. We’ve been driving down to this drive in for over 3 years. Sometimes we would come specifically for the burgers. The past 6 months, they have been unable to keep up with the increased business and have asked people to be patient. Our food orders have gone from 20 minutes to over an hour. Fine. We went this past weekend after a baseball game. It was 104 degrees on Saturday. When I paid, the attendant asked me to roll down my window so he could check the back seat… ok. I obliged. We were relatively close to the front of the line. We got in and the line for concession stand was already long. My son simply wanted something to drink (we’ve started eating before going lately, because the food is declining and taking forever). It was so hot and he was so sweaty, I finally pulled his water bottle out of his baseball bag and told him to fill it in the bathroom. He came back with hot water. He got in the concession stand line and it took 45 minutes just to reach the building. If you cannot accommodate the crowds and provide water for patrons.. you need to allow for a cooler fee. I’m all about supporting local businesses and paying what is required, Denying people access to water should be criminal. You have young children, breast feeding mothers and elderly patrons in summer heat. We will unfortunately not be back. I cannot, in good faith, continue to support this business practice. Winchester and Beacon both do cooler fees, and that is where we will be going from now on.

Love love, love coming to Chief Drive In! We always go early so we can enjoy a burger basket before the movie starts. Can't wait to go back!

I’ve always wanted to go to a drive in movie theater and this one did not disappoint! The price for tickets is cheaper than most theaters I’ve ever been to. The screen is massive and there’s plenty of parking spots! We used a portable radio to dial into the station that way we didn’t have to run down our car battery. There are plenty of bathrooms and they were all clean and stocked well. And the concession stand was the star of the show!! So many candies I’d never seen before and you can’t get at a regular theater. The corn dogs were a hit and their grilled cheese was perfect! They have big selection of limited edition cups and popcorn buckets too! This was a perfect date night and would definitely be fun for the whole family, highly recommend checking them out! Also the oldies playing before the movie made me feel like I was in the 1950s and I absolutely loved that feeling!

Giving this drive-in a 0 for customer service. I’ll take full responsibility for violating no outside food or drink. The employee asked at the gate and we gave him what we had. He went on a rant about branded cups. We had TWO outside water bottles. Sorry, i’m not sorry, i’m not going to detail my car for drinks and snacks, I have children in tow!

Our families combined spent $60 at the concession stand and $50 in admissions. The water bottles we had may have been a loss of $2 to the establishment. He also accused us of having outside popcorn when it was actually an outside Tupperware to share the $10 popcorn bucket we bought at the concession stand! 😆 (Silly, right? but that’s how out of control he was!!!).

The issue isn’t the food/drink policy, it’s the way the matter is handled. I read prior reviews and it’s clear there is an employee (or possibly an owner) who is known for his belligerent reaction to outside food or drink. We had five children there to witness these actions. You can pull any policy or video footage you want, you don’t come up to paying customers (especially with children) and start grabbing their stuff, making accusations, telling them to leave, and they are trespassers OVER WATER BOTTLES! We weren’t trespassing by the way, we paid full admission. To give other reviewers any indication of how ridiculous this man is, our 4 year old referred to him as a bully, and rightfully so.

I understand you have to protect your business, but there are better ways to handle this situation. This man is hostile and really showed my children (and reminded me) how hateful and ugly people can be.

Maybe there should be a sign at the front of the theater along with the no food and drink sign that says: “Violators will be harassed and disrespected regardless of whether you are a paying customer.” For anyone wishing to go to the theater, be careful and aware, especially if you have children.

A thought for the $$$ collected at the concession stand, do yourself, your business, and future customers a favor, put it towards a training on customer service or hospitality.

There is no reasonable excuse for this type of behavior. I don’t need a response from the establishment, it’s clear you’re lacking in taking ownership for your volatile actions.

few weeks ago one of my friends and his daughter we decided to try to Drive In at Chickasha, Oklahoma. As we arrived and pulled up to pay. The man didn't say Hello or anything nice. First thing out of his mouth was "Have you ever been here" And he was extremely RUDE! Randy looked at me and I looked at him back. We both were shocked for him being so RUDE. We both said "No". He said you're not allowed to take any kind of drink into the Drive In. We were like Oh?! Never had been told that before. We go to Drive Ins all the time. This was our first time to this one. He made us get rid of our drinks. And when we paid and were driving off. He said HATEFUL AGAIN! roll down your back window I was to see who is in the back and we did. This without a doubt the RUDEST place I have ever done business with. We then later on got told. It was the OWNER of the Drive In that talked to us so HATEFUL!!!! If I could give them a zero I would but on there isn't anything lower, then a 1 star. I don't think they deserve even that. And I am diabetic there is nothing sugars free at the concession stand. I had to do without anything till the movie was over. We will Never go there again. The best is actually in OKC called the Winchester at 6930 S Western Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73139. Go there instead they aren't rude at all and it is ways nicer than the one in Chickasha. They are horrible people and rude especially the Owner. after your response I had to write more. I went to the concession stand and there was NO CANDY FOR ME AS A DIABETIC. As for the one in the city. They do not care if you bring your own drinks or candy because we do it all the time. And you can tell the rules without being RUDE!! Like I said before HE WAS RUDE!!!! He was not friendly in any shape or form. We were not taking him any way but the way he was RUDE. AND I didn't see any signs saying that. But like I said WE WILL NEVER BE BACK. WE GO TO THE DRIVE INS ALL THE TIME. YOUR AND OKC ARE NOT THE ONLY ONES. BUT people in Chickasha need to know there is a much better place to go to in OKC. They have never been rude they dont care if we pull up and have drinks in the car. So, you are wrong about that. They don't charge $20.00. People that work with the public with that kind of attitude will not be in business for long. Not if I have anything to do with it. And of course, I am sure I am talking to the Owner or someone that would defend his horrible behavior. I hope this lets people know. They need to go to a better place that appreciate...

I am disgustingly appalled at the treatment my mother was given with my children and my niece and nephews. It’s summer break and my brother and I allowed our children to travel HOURS with our mother to this so called “amazing” drive-in. Prior to their arrival, with a trip that has taken all day; she pulled over and put all the road trip snacks in the trunk - out of reach of the children and she told them, if y’all get hungry we will purchase food from the drive in we can’t take our own snacks. (They still have to make the trip to their next destination, and any parent or grandparent knows you can’t travel with multiple children without snacks, I know the rules say NO outside food or drink, but they were out of reach & we aren’t locals who live down the street). Upon arrival (I was on FaceTime with my mom!) she was asked if there was any food inside the car with them, she replied no, but there is in the trunk (she intentionally left her trunk unlocked) and was instructed to pull forward, he opened the trunk, my mom stepped out the car and attempted to explain that they had been traveling and he said she could leave the snacks there, at the entry with him (she was fine with that) but then something took place and he took the sonic drink, threw it to the ground and began to tell her and the children to get out of his drive in, calling her a liar & being completely out of line, saying this is what liars get! This is completely ridiculous and ruined their road trip. SHAME ON YOU!

{response to owners comment}

My mother read your rules; which is why she removed the snack and drinks from their reach and attempted to explain. We’ve had our private conversation in details about this incident. (waste of time for anyone wondering)

But at the end of it all... it’s HOW your employee handled this situation, it was the behavior that was displayed in front of children at a “family” environment that is concerning, it’s how an grandmother was walked all over, while trying her best to follow the rules while also being able to travel to and from this establishment, she clearly wasn’t trying to hide it - if she was she wouldn’t have mentioned it or left the trunk slightly open.

She could have been turned away in a more respectful manner - there was no need to harass and be irate with a GRANDMOTHER in front of 4 out of 10 of her GRANDCHILDREN.

Based off this experience and several others with similar experiences; perhaps a team exercise on customer service would...
