STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS DEALER… THEY HAVE NO REGARD FOR THE CONSUMER…
I purchased Can Am, Commander Max Limited, July 24, 2015. I have emails, photos, receipts, phone call logs, GPS track log, etc. to back up all dates, times and facts stated here.
I began my purchase process on May 8, 2015, by getting pre-approved financing through Sheffield. Morris Motorsport gave me a price and I accepted the offer on May 14, 2015 for the above referenced BRP unit. (See Attachments) At the time, I mentioned to the Sales Manager (Brandon) that I did not want to take a long time to close the purchase, as Sheffield told me my approval was good for 30 days. And I wanted to take it with me on a trip, in which, I needed to ship it on or before July 5. Not a big deal and would not be saying anything except for having to waste my time writing this letter…
Your dealer, Morris Motorsports did not follow through on a timely closing of the paperwork and has caused my credit to be damaged due to re-running my credit a second time. Your dealer delivered an unsafe motor vehicle to the consumer. (See attached photos) a. Seat belt not routed correctly in two seat possessions, causing restraint to not actuate as designed by the manufacturer b. Roll Cage bolts were left loose enough that an individual could manually rattle it when lightly pushing back and forth. c. Roll Cage was not aligned correctly d. Roof Panel was loose enough that it would have flown off with mild use. e. Roof was not aligned f. Steering Alignment dangerously off, camber, caster and toe are all far out of spec… (steering wheel is at the 2 o’clock position when tires appear straight.) (you can visually see the wheels out of alignment)
The speaker wires were left dangling where items could easily snag catch and rip them. Pre air filter not installed in vehicle Main air filter not installed in vehicle I paid for parts and labor in good faith. I was defrauded out of the value of my good and valuable remuneration by Morris Motorsports ownership’s lack of proper training of its employees. a. I paid for labor to install parts and they did not install them and or install in a professional workman like manner b. I paid for parts that were not provided c. It was brought to the attention of Morris Motorsports that the parts were missing d. Morris Motorsport agreed to forward the missing parts to Can Am dealer in McKinney, TX, July 24, 2015 e. As of Aug 27, no parts had been forwarded f. No effort Vehicle was delivered with side panels that were nicked in the exact same place on both sides of the vehicle Roll cage covers were not installed or provided (they come on the Limited)
As an example of the dealers lack of responsibility as a Can Am representative, after signing my paperwork, I immediately pointed out that the vehicle was missing the: bumper the extra key the Garmin Box lock An additional example of the dealers lack of responsibility as a Can Am representative, is that they are using unskilled and untrained labor to work on your product. This practice of using unqualified personnel to work on and assemble a motor vehicle that goes in excess of 50 mph is a dangerous practice. After signing my paperwork, I was finally allowed to see the vehicle. I immediately sought out the service department. The reason is that I could easily see there were problems with the machine and I wanted to root out the problem. Upon entering the service area I ask for a gentleman named Michael. I was directed to Michael who is a Can Am tech. I ask him, “How easy was the install of the accessories and machine?” His response was, “Oh you are looking for the other Michael.” I located the other Michael and ask the same question with the additional “Are you a Can Am Certified Tech?” He replied, “NO.” He also admitted that he was the person who assembled and did all the work on...
Read moreHorrible dealership. Took my atv there to get it fixed after a flood. They promised to get to it promptly. A month later I told them I was going to get it and take it somewhere else they said it was fixed. I had asked them to go completely through it to check for water damage which they said they did. They also said that their shop manager had walked off and they couldn't find my keys. So instead of putting a honda ignition and key back in it, they went and had a truck key made to fit it. I got it home to find out that they hadn't done anything except change the oil. I called them to complain to the manager and he said I was too specific on what to check so they must not have gone completely through it like they normally would have and that they were not going to do anything about it. The rear of atv was making a noise so I took it to another dealership. They told me the brakes were completely shot due to the unit sitting for a month with water in it. They would have to completely redo the brakes ( seals, brakes, rotors, springs, vent tubing, etc ). And that it would cost nearly 3 thousand to fix, which is more than it is worth,. Long story short my atv is totaled due to the incompetence of Morris motorsports of chickasha. I also found out that they ran into John Holt's(owner of chevy dealership) personal side by side with a forklift but thas...
Read moreWe were quoted a price from Mark Morris for a Can-Am Maverick X3 Max DS Turbo for $22,800 on July 6, 2022. We placed a $500 deposit the same day and were told give them a few days to build it and it would be ready to go. We called several times over the next couple of weeks to check in to see if it was ready as we live 3 hours away. We were given the run around several times until July 19 when we were told it was ready to be picked up. We drove the 3 hours and discovered they had built the wrong SXS. They offered to start paperwork, build the correct one, and deliver it when it was ready. We asked if we were given the correct price for the correct SXS and were told we were not and that they would not be able to honor the price ($2000 difference) even though we have the text message from Mark Morris stating the correct unit and price. The manager, Kenny, stated it would be bad business to honor the price we were given.
I would not recommend this place as they were not willing to honor their price we were quoted and it was a hassle to deal with them from...
