We had hardwood flooring put in our our main areas of our home last year in March/April. Around June/July we noticed that the flooring was starting by to buckle and show some waviness. We reached out to FTYH and worked with Debbi. She had the flooring guy come out and inspect what was happening. He determined at that point that there was not enough expansion space for the flooring so they had the crew come out and recut expansion joints throughout the house. We waited a few months to see if it would lay back down. When it did not, Debbie and the floor guy came back out to reinspect the floor. Since the flooring had not improved much, Debbie spoke with the owner and had an independent flooring inspector come. They paid for the inspection, though we did have to sign a thing saying that if the problems we anything but installation issues we would have to pay for the inspection. Our flooring was a cabin grade so it didn’t have warranty but the installation was warranted. Our inspection report did note that due to improper acclimatizing and improper installation with not enough expansion joints, that was the reason for the buckling and waviness. Once the report was back we worked with Debbie and FTYH agreed to give us a credit for the amount we had spent on product originally and they would of course cover the installation of new flooring and removal of the bad flooring. We had to chose a different flooring because our original product was no longer available. We decided to go with LVP and underlayment. Debbi was good about communicating with us and helping us pick out new flooring. Since there was a cost difference we were able to actually use the left over credit to get more flooring for other areas of our home that we still needed at no extra costs to us. Everything was delivered on time and the install crew showed up when they were supposed to. The crew worked all day to remove the wood flooring and to install the new flooring. They cleaned up after themselves well and did not leave a mess. While we loved our hardwood flooring and it breaks our heart to have to have switched it out, which is why we give 4 stars. We are thankful that the company and Debbi worked with us to resolve our issue even past our original installation warranty time. We have done business with them a couple of times in previous homes. If we need to do flooring again we will continue to do business with FTYH. Our new flooring looks great! Hopefully everything stays that way and the only other business we need to do is new business.

Mohawk carpet was installed poorly by their contractor. Carpet was not laid to the drawing and seems installed opposite direction to length of house causing more seems and in high traffic areas. Due to this and lack of properly stretching carpet, the seems are visible. While they tried to fix a few seems, they were made worse and are now lumpy with glue both visually and walking over. Warranty denied coverage after we paid out of pocket for carpet cleaning to submit claim. Carpet cleaning pulled carpet out in edges all around the house due to poor installation, leaving it looking even worse. Stairs were carpeted poorly and not tucked under each step, with visible raw edges against the wall. Mohawk carpet strands are at a 3 on scale 1-5 after only a year and a half. Quality of product and labor are not acceptable. The result was offering us a discount to replace $13K+ of new carpet. We were repeat customers and have spent upwards of $25K with them and will not be returning. The staff may be friendly to speak with, but contractors did not follow instruction. Ultimately we are left with a carpet install we are not happy with. Update: seem continues to get and look worse. Really disappointing and unacceptable for the money spent. Response to below: We use the same Shark vacuum that was used at our previous home you installed Mohawk carpet in and we had no issues at all for our 5 years there. The inspection photographer didn’t even take photos of the correct spots in question, which is interesting because I clearly pointed them out. End of day, your installer didn’t lay carpet to your plan and made cuts himself. My understanding is your carpet is precut. If he started making his own cuts, the seems did not meet appropriately throughout the house. We had an outside flooring specialist come in who has done floors for 30 years and he agreed he would not be pleased with this carpet install and was shocked you weren’t doing more to fix it.

Buyers beware. This company is nothing other than a scam. We ordered 80 cases of the Mullican Blue Ridge Red Oak Natural 5" Wide 3/4" Solid Hardwood. After shipping delays for weeks we finally received the flooring. A couple of weeks later the contractor showed up to install it. The first 4 boxes opened were about 85% termite infested. No joke, this stuff was useless. I immediately contacted customer service. I was instructed to go to their website and file a claim via the link. Due to the fact that the contractor was on site and waiting, we had no choice, but to purchase flooring locally at floor&decor. We then had to battle the return of the flooring which management was not willing to honor. Their explanation was that 10 to 15% of the shipment would have blemishes. I understood that the first time it was explained to me and therefore ordered 15% over. I had no idea that termite infestation falls under the same category as visual defect. What a joke. They ended up charging us 25% restocking charge and tried to extort $1800 shipping from us. I took it upon myself to pay for the shipping directly at $800 using Roadrunner, the same shipper they use. These guys are crooks. The three pallets we received were very well wrapped in plastic. Once we unwrapped the packaging, we realized that numerous boxes had severe forklift damage. These guys covered that up with plastic. In the end, we ended up with a much better product for slightly more money. Go to floors&decor

Would be a zero if possible. At least the loading guys were helpful. Ordered product online and went to store to pickup. Store confused about order because "online is different from the store" Waited 20 minutes. Came back to tell me they canceled the order and placed new order in the store. OK. Loaded product in the truck. They finished writing order and asked for payment. "I already paid online" I said. "That order was canceled" they said. I provided them my card for payment. They ran my card but locked it up. One charge still existed from the online purchase and two charges for half the invoice amount all pending on my card. Store held no responsibility for this and only explained that online was separate from the store and told me that I should have come to the store to purchase and that basically it was my fault for purchasing online. Unloaded truck and left. I called customer service. I was connected to the individual who actually was the one who canceled the online order while I was at the store. He explained that because I ordered it online, the product would not be ready for 1-2 days because they need to ship the product to the store. Or, he offered, I could drive the the warehouse and pick it up myself. He said that is how they do things and basically expressed that because I purchased the product online that these circumstances were my fault. There is NO WARNING on the online cart or checkout on the website that there is a 2 day delay on the order, even though the product is physically in the store. Regarding the charges on my card, he offered that I could call my card company and explain what happened and maybe they would unlock my card. No one has made any effort to retain me as a customer or to in any way resolve this situation. The customer service rep hung up on me when I said...
