Used to be my FAVORITE place to thrift...until I stopped by yesterday. Not only did they get rid of the 2 colors 50% off and 1 color .99Ā¢... but they doubled if not tripled their prices!!!!! For a single mom who doesn't get child support I relied ALOT on this stores prices to help me with clothes for my boys, or if I had a job change and needed dress clothes or scrubs. 50% off only ONE color when you double or triple the price tag of DONATED items is absolutely absurd!!! Yes I understand you have to pay for the space/utilities/and employees but I also know I seen recently on Indeed that even the employees are only being offered $8 hr!!!! Y'all have officially turned into Goodwill ( which I quit going to years ago because of this same thing)!!!! It's sad!!!! Yes I understand it helps rehab people...but what about us...the ones that are struggling NOW and relied on your business for help?!?!? Unfortunately this business plan I don't think is going to work in y'all's favor because you are going to loose money to help your rehab program because for the prices you are asking...people are just going to patronize another store and get their stuff new. It's been proven that people will buy MORE if something is a good price...now people are going to buy less because why pay the same price for something used with staple holes in it ( which I've been cut on MULTIPLE times mind you)...when you can go to another store and get it new minus the holes. I'm very disappointed in what your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe have donated here for years. I have also shopped here for years. But, yesterday I took an suv full of donations. Blankets, sheets, in packaging, shoes worn once, night stand, plant stands, etc. Upon arriving, I started taking the stuff out, and this lady stopped me and told me I had to wait until another lady came out. So, I waited, and waited for her. Finally, I said is she coming? Well, she arrived, a shorter, blond hair middle aged lady. She started asking what was I. All the boxes. To make a long story short, she got angry with me for putting stuff where she didn't want it, I explained I did not know where to put it. She ended up throwing my boxes on the ground, making the lids pop off. I told her I would never come back, that I would find somewhere else to take our stuff. I will burn my stuff before I go back there. š¤ She did not have to be so rude when I was leaving...

The pricing seems to be on the higher side, but, like anywhere you shop, you sometimes find bargains, and sometimes you don't. Remember, most of the workers are paid employees so the Salvation Army does have moderate overhead running this store.
Over the years I have dropped off numerous donations at the donation center on the side of the building. One of my biggest pet peeves is not being thanked for my donations. All I expect and want is a little "thank you" but rarely get that (or often even acknowledgement that I exist). I'm doing my part to support the mission, some gratitude in return is appreciated (and may increase...
