Went tubing and liked it a little better than white pass. We liked the run at white pass way better because it is rougher and has a really fast banked turn at the end plus you get airborne a couple times... But everything considered, we liked Snoqualmie better: They have a moving "magic carpet" that gets you up the hill. (Really slowly). Plus there are more open lanes for people to go down. They had music- classic rock, kinda. And the snoqualmie pass area is just bigger and has more things to do. Of course with that comes more people.... Which is either good or bad.

We went on a day where the weather wasn't the best (a bit of rain/sleet mixed in with some snow) but I can't really fall the resort for that. On the positive side, the lift lines weren't too bad, even for it being a holiday (New Year's Eve). And there were plenty of options in terms of terrain for people of all abilities. On the negative side, the management of the lift lines was pretty bad and chaotic. It wasn't that they didn't have enough staff (they did), but that they were poorly positioned to retain any sense of order that I'm accustomed to at other ski resorts.

This is a ski area that gets worse in terms of operations every single year. The parking situation is problematic and difficult to understand because they publish 11 paragraphs explaining it. They've severely limited access for backcountry skiers this year, adding yet another barrier to entry. A friend of mine was issued a $200 ticket at Hyak even before the season started (so the resort wasn't yet open for operation) while touring out of the area. My #1 gripe is that with all the parking restrictions, they haven't implemented any sort of mass transit solution - which is crazy. Crystal mountain has, and Snoqualmie is so close to Seattle. It's...

I had a pretty uncomfortable experience here. I decided to come to the mountain alone today and enjoy the last bit of winter. While on my way to a lift I was given unsolicited advice about my snow suit from an instructor alongside them continuing to criticize my snowsuit to the person he was instructing while I was walking away. That really was uncomfortable and rude to be honest. I ended up leaving right after that moment. As a woman of color in the mountain alone I already feel uncomfortable but that honestly made me feel unwelcome. So I don’t think I’ll be coming back unless...
