Nice people, nice bakery, but this year was awful for Peaches. Early Peaches were not ripe, as hard as apples. Had to ripen in a bag on the counter. Now the price of a basket is up to $15 and they are mushy and tasteless. I don't know what the answer is ... but I do know that if we took a Peach and split it at the check out counter and shared it with the staff that they would certainly be embarrassed with what they're selling. As I said, I don't know what the answer is other than to suggest that the owners taste what they put out for sale but then if the product is soft and mushy and tasteless I don't know what their options are. Comparable to anywhere else, prices. Friendly service. Orton family's been there for many years. And like to see them be there for many more. So get out there and support them. Their prices are cheaper than the grocery store....
