Finally made it out here after knowing about it for a couple years. I was able to try several fruit and bought some that looked good anyway. I loved the yellow apples, snow beauty (I think), figs, and dapple dandy fruit. I also got to do a tour on a golf cart where I learned about all the wine grapes they sell to wineries, fruit trees, the free mulch, the bee hives they keep, desert plants they are growing. Master gardeners, yes! They allowed me to pick up some fresh mulch from pine trees, I used some this last year. It’s really good at trapping morning condensation to hydrate the plants in my yard and to keep the microorganisms healthy. I love how they had different stations and had the kids interact in every station and learn something new and gave them a love to be a gardener and teach them how to grow fruits & veggies here in the desert.
