Event Planners beware! Unprofessional and incompetent staff. I am a mobile bartender and I was hired by a bride’s family for a wedding.

After providing proof of insurance, I was told the form was “wrong” without any specific detail. Instead of providing a specific list of documents needed, I was asked for one item at a time, going back and forth, after initially being told that only one piece of information was needed.

Before arriving at the venue I called to ask where service vehicles could unload items for the event. I was told to park in visitors parking and walk to the venue. I asked if they were having the caterers and decorators lug all of their food, glassware, flowers, etc from visitors parking to the ballroom and she said yes. This is unheard of for an event venue.

The campus is a confusing maze with insufficient signage. After driving around for 30 minutes, I found the service area and I was able to unload my items, no thanks to the woman who answered the phone.

After the event, I called to inquire about a lost item. The person who answered the phone said the item was not in their log. The wedding ended at midnight and I don’t believe the building has a 24 hour service desk so I asked if he could check physically check the lost and found just in case. He refused and said, rudely, if its not in the log its not here. What poor customer service. That was strike 3 for me.

I am shocked that this was my experience at a school that educates hospitality professionals. I am beyond disappointed.

Lovely campus, came for the Life Sciences South Florida Symposium to help my friend last minute, couldn’t find where to RSVP or even register a guest for the event and the lady who was managing the event, (older white lady in a white top with almost bleach blond hair) was so rude. Not just to me but also the staff member who were checking people in. Great room!! We were there for South Broward Montessori Charter School's end of the year show. Only complaint I had was the elevator was broken and I had just had surgery a week ago and had trouble climbing the stairs so it was NOT handicap accessible in any way, and lighting for the stage was bad, once they dimmed the lights for the show there was very little light on the stage for the performers.
