While I am sure they do great work after a half-century in the business, no refinishing jobs are worth $76 plus an hour. Lindstrom's quoted over $550 to completely restore and $250 to just clean up/reglue this oak t-back chair, which is "highway robbery" compared to Gettysburg and Westminster estimates. The small repair piece shaped to the center support section is in fact white/tiger oak and matches perfectly on the backside, but for some reason stained a bit lighter on the front. Your $500 plus critique is hilarious considering I wasn't looking for museum quality restoration, just my great grandmother's chair "reasonably refinished" at a fair price. I actually did speak with the wife twice "in-person," and left chair at the shop while husband was away at their NY "lake house," so to imply that my review is somehow fake or misleading, may want to double check your customer callbacks. This May estimate was absolutely ridiculous, when compared to both Hagarman and T-N-T restorations, so I respectfully declined and retrieved the chair. And for a solid total strip/reglue/refinish for $150 with several coats of sprayed "satin" finish, this customer is very satisfied with going elsewhere. And after sharing my negative experience, looks like Lindstrom's suddenly has "positive reviews" popping up over past month, lol... Just treat potential customers right the firstime around, instead of over-charging and/or talking down to them, especially if you don't want or...
