Sea Pointe — Local services in North Myrtle Beach

Stayed here a couple of times because it was cheap and I was young, glad to say I won't be coming back here now and here's multiple reasons why. First off, the maintenance crew and tenants don't know how to mind their business. we had rented mopeds for the week and we parked them behind our own car in a parking spot on the corner of the parking garage completely out of the way, as to not interfere with other guests and tenants and take up more spots then necessary, the first morning after we had rented them we were greeted with a note on our windshield that read "These WILL be towed." Completely irrational, unfair and rude in my opinion, they are not versed in how to accomodate guests clearly. Beyond that the rooms have a stained smell and dirty carpets as well as old nasty bedding. I don't recommend this place or myrtle beach unless you are 17 years old and broke or 70 years old and are an angry miserable...

The property itself was fine so something had to go horribly wrong to cause me to pick a 1. And it did! There was extremely loud, unrelenting construction going on Mon-Fri some days prior to 8 AM all the way through 5 pm or so. This caused us to not be able to get proper rest and relaxation on vacation where you expect such a thing. We were not made aware and we were ignored when we expressed our concerns. You could hear it on the beach and no other properties had it going on as we took long walks. Never in my life have I seen anything like this! You expect normal noises but this is way beyond the realm of reasonable. Even with heavy duty earplugs and a white noise machine I could hear it. I don’t understand why they couldn’t have put it off a couple of weeks when most people stop taking vacations. Or at the very least, let us know. We went home in worse shape...

Stayed here a few times over the years, the only positive is the cheap cost for a week or two in the summer. I would never come back or recommend this place again. It's old and smells of cigarette smoke for starters. Some units are nicer and more modern, but many are plain old and the stuff inside is obviously worn out. The head maintance crew member was awful, he acted weird many times and often appeared to stare at me and others when we were getting groceries or moving throughout the hallways etc. It's an unacceptable environment for children with weird people like that, at least to me. Also, the owners / maintance crew people were nosy and always ready to give violations for any of their outlandish rules. This place is no fun for adults and unfit for children, I will never return. Please stay away, there's places just as affordable...
