Field Trip Friday took us somewhere so fun this week, the North Port Aquatic Center 💩 and I have to say, if you have toddlers or young kids, this place is a little slice of heaven in the Florida heat. There’s a huge splash pad area that’s perfect for littles, and it felt so safe and well-designed, shallow water, gentle sprayers, and lifeguards keeping a close eye on everything. My kids could play independently (without me hovering every second 🙃), and I actually got to sit for a few minutes and just breathe. If you know, you know. They also have bigger slides and a lazy river for older kids or parents who want to join in the fun, but honestly, the toddler area is what sold me. It’s clean, organized, and just super family-friendly. 🎟 Admission is $8 for kids (2–12) and $10 for adults if you’re a North Port resident, and babies under 2 are free. It’s open every day except Friday until 5PM, and Fridays they stay open late ‘til 9PM, which would make for a super fun night out with the kids! Definitely one of our favorite summer spots so far. Add it to your list if you’re looking for something easy, fun, and perfect for little ones! đŸ«¶â˜€ïžđŸ‘™ #FieldTripFriday #FloridaMomLife #NorthPortAquaticCenter #SummerWithKids #ToddlerActivities

Beautiful and clean Waterpark, pool very clean and clear. Staff is very nice and friendly. Great place to bring your family to enjoy the beautiful Florida weather. The price isn't bad and you get a discount if you live in the city. I would definitely recommend this public Waterpark/pool..

They cannot keep up with food at the concession stand for the capacity they let in. We tried 3 times today to get hot dogs and every time they were out and said to come back in 10 to 20 mins. Then when we came back they were out again. There is also a HUGE problem with line cutting for the slides. Every time I got in line for a slide there were kids who cut in front of 15 to 20 people to meet siblings or friends who were at the font of the line. I told one lifeguard and he said "I tried to talk to these kids so many times that is why I lost my voice and can barely talk now". I have been to many water parks and have never seen so many entitled kids. It is very small and crowded so the experience is ruined. We got Adventure Island passes again this year and had a much better experience there this week. Also they don't have ice so bring your own or drinks get warn really quick!

Edited: we decided to come and try it again because some friends invited us and had another bad experience. An hour after we came and they closed for lightning but they didn't just make everyone get out of the pool they make you actually leave the premises. Sun n Fun (now Sun Sarasota) and every other pool or water park I've ever been to all just make you get out of the pool and that's it. Not completely leave! If I could give zero...

As you can see in the picture North Port aquatic center advertised to have sunflower hour(for 0-4yr olds) May 1- May 17 on Wednesdays and Fridays 10am to Noon. I drove my 16mo from Venice to the North Port aquatic center on May 17 we arrived around 10:10am and to my surprise they were turning people away because they canceled sunflower hour for a private event. It’s not right to advertise specific dates and then cancel it for a private event. There is no reason that the private event could have started after Noon when sunflower hour was done. There was no one setting up for a party or event. Not a single person in the water park. There were many parents and grandparents in the parking lot with children that were really upset including me and my child. The rude guy turning away people told me they made an adjustment on the website. I took a screen shot of the advertisement on Facebook and would not have thought to check if they canceled scheduled days for a private event. The reason I’m giving more then one star is because it is a nice clean park but this was a really upsetting situation for many people. It’s not easy to lug around 0-4yr olds. It was really hard getting my 16mo back in his car seat after he seen the water park he kept crying “water...

So I get "sh@t" happens. However we planned our weekend around a trip to the pool Saturday. We get there with excited kids, to find out someone had used the restroom in the lazy River and the 3 areas attached were closed (lazy river, slides and little turtle walk). Therefore the only thing left was the pool and kiddy area. So I asked "are you guys offering discounts? Of course the answer was NO. so we left and came back today (Sunday) as we were told, everything would be back up today. Another 30 minute drive, another group of excited kids, to arrive with everything closed but pool and kiddy area. Still no discount offer. Now mind you for all other county pools, they are $3-7 per person, for what we are being offered today. Paid $64 for 3 kids and 2 adults to go to a pool. But I wasn't going to disappoint my kids AGAIN, because they can't clean a pool in 24 hours or offer adequate pricing. Disappointing to say the least. The staff were mostly friendly, the guy at the gate was SUPER nice. The food was terrible. But all in all, it was an alright day. I've only been here a couple of times and each time it's been an issue. Not sure if we'll try again, but...
