I have never once filed an insurance claim against a house and expected it to be a huge ordeal and agonizing experience. My house’s roof had been damaged by a hailstorm and needed to be replaced. In addition, the gutters needed to be replaced and the inside of my house suffered from water damage in several areas and needed rework.

After contacting my insurance company to file a claim not knowing what to expect, I was provided contact information for Ken Donaghy at Ahlers. I contacted him, again not knowing what to expect.

I was pleasantly surprised at how seamless and transparent Ahlers made the entire insurance claim process. It required very little effort on my part.

Communication and customer service with Ahlers was excellent. I was kept in the loop about everything. Work commenced on time, every time, and was completed the same day. I was granted access to their customer portal where I could keep track of progress.

They had my entire roof replaced in less than a day. I got to pick out the color of shingles I wanted. I never once even had to go outside while they were working to check up on things.

Next was replacement of the gutters. Again, I had choice of color and the entire process of replacing them took maybe 3 to 4 hours. Just as with the roof, I never had to go outside for any reason.

Lastly was rework of various areas inside my house that had gotten water damage as a result of my roof leaking. With all the work that needed to be done I thought for sure it would take more than a day. I was wrong. All work was completed by the end of the day. The painters did an excellent job color matching all the walls that needed to be painted as well as the ceiling. The repairs were done with such precision that you can’t even tell where the damaged areas were that got reworked. The paint and wall/ceiling textures blend perfectly with the surrounding areas that didn’t need repairs.

I honestly don’t have a single complaint with Ahlers. Their workmanship and customer service is top notch. I definitely would not hesitate to use them again and would refer them to anyone needing roof work or...

I would recommend anyone that is considering the use of this company to go to the county records online OPR (official public records) search and put in Ahlers Construction, Ahlers Roofing or Danny Ahlers to see how many mechanics liens they have filed over the years. If a company has to file this many liens against their customers, chances are...the customer is not the issue. Had I done this first, I would have never hired them! They do not have any regular subs, they brought numerous contractors in my house after I had accepted their bid. They do shoddy work, rarely knew what their game plan was on each project, weeks without showing up. We gave them way past their suggested deadline that they gave us before we fired them, they were not half way done at this point. They gave us a final bill for many items that they had not even completed. I sent numerous emails to get no return explanation and yet they file a lien on our property. I never wanted to "pay them nothing", I wanted an agreed settlement within reason to what they had completed. We had to have the majority of their work redone. They are rigid and it is their way or the highway. Very unscrupulous! The worst contractor experience I had...

Danny Ahlers and Ahlers Roofing and Construction have been phenomenal to work with, and we would recommend his company to anyone for any size job.

Our home was hit by the Father's Day tornado this year, and it's been absolutely crazy around here for the last couple months. Danny has been an island of calm throughout it all. Danny had a team of 7 people - on Father's Day - working at our house within hours trying to mitigate the water damage (rain was pouring in through multiple places in the roof, walls, and windows), and they worked until 2:00 am that night. Amazing.

Since then, his teams have worked incredibly hard on our project trying to get our house rebuilt ... and to keep it safe and livable while we dealt with delays caused by an insurance company that would prefer to drag their feet on everything.

Danny and his teams are all professional, personable, and excellent at what they do. We have been completely happy with their work through every step of this process. We are so grateful to have put our home rebuild in the very capable hands of the Ahlers Roofing family and would absolutely call on them again for any of our roofing or construction needs...
