Drop In Surf Shop — Local services in North Topsail Beach

Absolutely love Drop In Surf shop. Our kids (age 11 and age 8) took surf lessons from them. Our son actually took surf lessons earlier in the week with a different location but wasn’t satisfied. He had a much better experience with Drop In (it was also less expensive !) This was our daughter’s first attempt at surfing and they were so encouraging she can’t wait to go back! We also rented surf boards from them. We had it delivered and picked up from our rental - how convenient! They also own The Last Mango - we enjoyed ate Italian ice every day with them. This family owned business is accommodating and so friendly. If you're anywhere close to Topsail Island I highly recommend...

I wish I could give them 10 stars! April and all the instructors were amazing. We had a group of 6, and we definitely flip/flopped on the final number, and April was incredibly patient with us AND worked to get all 6 kids together in one lesson. The instructors were awesome, encouraging, and supportive. after the lesson we rented two boards for the kids to share. My daughter’s instructor was surfing for a bit and called out to my daughter (whose sister was taking her turn on the board) “hey birthday girl!” He let her use his board! A wonderful family-owned and run business. My son took a surf lesson from one of the owner’s sons; Braxton. He had a great time! When I called to book the lesson, I was pleasantly surprised to instantly talk with a human. She asked what we were wanting to book, then took the time to check the weather for the next day and call me back with a lesson time. The whole process was personable and nonchalant. Their rentals were also well priced. We loved the added touch of a free Italian ice after his lesson ended.
