I’d like to share my experience with this property and the challenges we faced leading up to our wedding. We reserved this rental for out-of-town family members traveling to attend our special day. Ahead of their scheduled arrival on Thursday at 2:00 PM—an arrival time previously confirmed by the owners—I attempted multiple times to obtain a passcode or confirmation details for my family. I reached out via email, text, and phone (including voicemails), but received no response.

By 11:00 AM on the day of check-in, I still had not heard back, which left me uncertain about the legitimacy of the booking—especially given the repeated busy signals and lack of communication. Out of concern, I sent a final message explaining that if I didn’t hear back by noon, I would initiate a dispute through my credit card company, as I needed to make alternate arrangements for my family if necessary.

Unfortunately, the situation escalated from there. After disputing the charge, I received hostile and threatening messages from the owners, including an alarming and inappropriate statement that they would contact our wedding officiant to “ruin” the ceremony. This behavior was deeply unsettling, particularly considering all I had requested was a simple confirmation or update.

Throughout this process, I received no communication until I submitted a Google review and initiated the credit card dispute. This lack of professionalism stood in stark contrast to the other rental experiences we had for our wedding—many of which involved group contributions and had absolutely no issues.

I understand the owners later questioned the validity of some of the reviews left in support of our experience. However, several guests staying at the property were among those sharing their perspectives. The only negative experience was with this particular rental.

These ratings have a discrepancy by the owner who specifically had reviews removed or hidden and the responses you see below show a glimpse of how unprofessional to his customers he is and would rather initiate argument versus providing professional customer service. We had an incredible stay at this beautiful beach house. The location is perfect, just steps away from the sand and water, offering stunning ocean views. The house itself is spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway.

The outdoor deck was our favorite spot, where we enjoyed morning coffee with the sunrise and evening cocktails with the sound of the waves. We especially loved using the grill to cook up steaks while watching the sunset—such a great way to unwind after a day at the beach! The kitchen was also fully equipped, making it easy to prepare meals when we wanted a break from dining out.

Beyond the house, the area was full of local spots to explore. We discovered great restaurants, quaint shops, and even a few hidden gems along the coast. Whether you’re in the mood for fresh seafood, beachside cafes, or boutique shopping, everything is conveniently close by.

The main bedroom offered great views of the beach with its own private deck and I love hearing the waves as we drift off to sleep.

The hosts were attentive and responsive, making sure we had everything we needed.

Overall, this beach house exceeded our expectations, and we can't wait to come back. We plan to bring the grandkids with us next time for there is tons of space with the other three rooms.

We recently returned from a week-long stay at Sea LaVie Topsail. Our condominium, a three-bedroom, two-bathroom unit, featured an elegantly equipped kitchen and a spacious living room with ample comfortable seating. The condominium boasted two balconies that offered breathtaking views of the ocean and pool areas. One balcony was accessible from the living room, while the other was situated within two of the bedrooms.

The views from the balconies were truly exceptional. Commencing our mornings with coffee while observing dolphins play along the coast was a memorable experience.

Within the building, we discovered Oceans Edge, a restaurant that provided stunning views and delectable cuisine, conveniently located just an elevator ride away. Adjacent to our condominium, the Aarrr Pirate Bar and Grill offered a casual atmosphere and a diverse selection of sandwiches and beverages.

The pools at Sea LaVie Topsail were consistently uncluttered, which was a significant advantage for our group. We took advantage of the low tide to stroll along the beach, admiring the shells and enjoying the picturesque scenery.

The vicinity boasts a plethora of restaurants, grocery stores, and beach shops, catering to the diverse needs of our guests.

The relaxation of our vacation was greatly enhanced by the seamless communication we maintained with Amy.
