Went here for a surf lesson today with my boyfriend and we had a great time. Joel and Caleb are amazing teachers and are super patient if you are slower to pick up on some of the techniques. They make you feel prepared before you even step into the water. Once you are in, they give personal tips on what you're doing and how to improve. I highly recommend North Topsail Surf & Paddle! Pretty cool family run business. My husband and I took surf lessons here and it was AWESOME! Danny communicated well and set us up with our own instructor, which we really appreciated being our first time in our 30's. The instructors were just amazing!! Our favorite Topsail business of our whole vacation and family owned!! Our boys did surf lessons with them which they really enjoyed. The instructors were young high school and college kids who were fun and patient and had them up on the boards in no time. We found some great beach and surf accessories in their shop and loved the Italian ice, too. We returned to rent surfboards later in the week—can’t beat the price.
