I had previously used the Morgantown, WV location and had to cancel as the state I was traveling to did not have a club in any location. It was a nightmare trying to cancel and the manager at that location completely lacked humility and was extremely disrespectful. Though I was only a member for just over a month they still charged the $49 annual fee for 12 months and refused to refund any of it. After arriving back in PA I reopened my membership at the Uniontown location. I just cannot say enough about Sari and the staff there. She was able to fix my account so I would not be charged the annual fee again until the next year it was due. She was so helpful, humble, and compassionate to my situation. She and the staff there are just amazing and so pleasant! I am unable to work out due to spinal disabilities and they have so many more options for me such as the relaxation pod with heat/scents and meditation videos, two hydra massage beds, two hydra massage chairs, etc. The club is well maintained and kept very clean. The only thing I would change would be to have paper towels available in the restrooms. I highly recommend this location! Thank you...
Read moreAfter over 2 years at Planet Fitness (Uniontown), climbing my way up to Assistant Manager, this is how they treated me on my way out.
My last paycheck showed $1,400+ when I approved it in Paycom — that included the $840 bonus I worked 3 months to earn. When payday hit, I only got $913. The bonus was just gone. No warning, no email, no text, no reapproval. Nothing.
When I questioned it, I was told about some so-called “rule” that you have to still be employed on the payout date to actually receive your bonus. Here’s the crazy part: even the managers above me admitted they didn’t know about this rule until after the fact. Yet I’m the one being punished for it. And their answer? “There’s nothing we can do.”
So let’s be real — I put in the work, earned the bonus, approved the paycheck with it included, and then had it yanked away at the last second. That’s not appreciation. That’s not fair.
I would not recommend anyone work for this company. The way they treat their employees is...
Read moreI’ve belonged to this gym since it opened. It is worth the membership fees and has all the normal equipment that you would find in a typical gym. In my opinion, though, they could take some of the treadmills and ellipticals out to make room for more strength training equipment. I’ve been to many gyms and there are many great machines and gear available and this gym hasn’t upgraded much if at all over the years. Another irritating fact is on the weekend, when the gym closes at 7:00PM, the staff will flick the light switch off and on a few times at 6:50, which can be potentially dangerous for someone getting off an elliptical machine, not to mention the feeling like being herded like cattle to get out. This happened last Saturday, 2/27. I got the hint and left. Apparently there were people not moving fast enough because when I got to my car outside I looked up and saw that they flicked the lights again. I could tell from the looks on peoples faces many of them...
