Read moreThe store is dirty, expensive, and I often see employees smoking outside by the propane exchange tanks. Next time you're at Weis, go to the meat shelves in the back of the store, look under the chicken and beef there. The shelves are covered in dried blood, chicken juice, and rust. If they clean these shelves, it can't be more than once a year. They need new, plastic shelving that does not rust from animal blood. The store is also expensive, Giant is about 15% cheaper on average, and Aldi is 45% cheaper on average for many items, especially produce. Also, on three different occasions, I've seen employees literally standing 5 feet from the propane thanks at the south entrance, smoking. Not only do I have to walk through the smoke to enter the store, it is a fire hazard. I've complained to Weis management several times and never hear a word back. One time, I saw the head manager of the store outside chatting with an employee, as the employee puffed away on his cigarette, not 10 feet from the tanks. To conclude, Weis is poorly managed, dirty, and expensive. The only reason I ever go there, is because it's only a few minutes from my house, and if I only need on or two items, it saves me a drive to...
Read moreI like this store, I'm in there almost everyday as I live close by. I drop a lot of money in there. I can't give 5 stars and here is why- 2 reasons. 1. Some of the prices on HBA items are a little up there and 2. I work in the Asset Protection field as a lead investigator and manager for another company. I deal with many dishonest employees and customers daily. When I go to other stores to shop, it's very easy for me to sniff out who their loss prevention people are, if they're not very experienced, Weis has this problem. Sure I notice it more because I work in the field and train ones like them. It irks me that I'm in there every day, they see me being a normal shopper, yet the same individuals that see me shopping still follow me around. This is what we call "profiling". Just because I come in at 7am wearing leggings and a hoodie doesn't mean I'm going to steal, my general behavior says nothing suspicious. Also, they're just a little too obvious about it, as a shopper, I shouldn't even notice them. Weis is the only store where this happens. I haven't had this happen anywhere else except maybe one clothing store but I ended up trading contact info with the LPs. Other than this,...
