A short while ago, I renovated a 18th century home in Newburyport and found many wonderful pieces to incorporate into my furnishings at R.S. Butler's. Two of my favorite purchases are the rare embroidered Asian silk needlepoint wall hangings for a bedroom, and the vintage pine cabinet in my kitchen that stores all my spices and other items. Everyone raves about both pieces when they come to my home and they always ask, "Where did you get this?" I also have a lovely vintage mirror, a few accent tables, some framed art, a beautiful steamer trunk, and a few eye catching urns and garden statues for my backyard garden. What's separate this store from other stores I've been in was that the pricing was actually fair for both the owner and myself. The barn behind the building had some incredible finds. I'm not personally friends with the owners, but every time I'm there we usually have a good chat about things. It seems like a very nice...
