I would never recommend Camp Bow Wow Norton Shores for anyone’s dogs. This morning, while trying to find somewhere to park for my daughter’s Lil Kickers class, the parking lot was overfull and spots were super limited. A Camp Bow Wow staff member very aggressively informed me that their parking was for their customers and I was not to park there. I understood, and asked if I could pull into the spot to turn around.
While turning around, I witnessed a new mom with a young baby being screamed at by the staff member. The staff member told her multiple times how “one of their dogs would bite a child” and when that happened, it would be on her and she would be going to hell. Multiple times while being yelled at this woman was sworn at. It was absolutely ridiculous. If someone is that emotionally escalated over something as trivial as parking, I do not think they have the capacity to keep a calm head in the event of an emergency with dogs. I could never imagine feeling comfortable leaving my pet with someone that acts that crazy.
On her way out, my mother was also yelled at and confronted by this woman. It was completely unprofessional and unnecessary, as my mom was leaving anyways.
This afternoon, I messaged their Facebook page and was given the owner’s phone number to call regarding her employee’s conduct. I started the conversation by stating I understood the parking situation was frustrating for everyone, and that they should have ample parking for their customers. What I cannot agree with is that employee’s conduct and being allowed to scream and swear at people, especially a visibly distressed new mother. To my complete shock, the owner let me have it about the parking lot, how Lil Kickers was causing her problems, and how the staff member was justified. It is clear that the kind of behavior exhibited by the staff member is learned from the owner.
For all my pet parent friends, I would highly encourage you to look elsewhere for any needs...
Read moreI was attending a soccer class in the suite next to camp bow wow with my 18 month old child. As we were getting out of our car and entering into the building we had to witness AN EMPLOYEE OF CAMP BOW WOW speaking very poorly/inappropriate to a mother carrying an INFANT car seat. I was absolutely sick at the sight of how unprofessional she was considering this is a new location for our camp and an unfamiliar parking situation not to mention it is public parking. After witnessing this preventable/inappropriate behavior I will NEVER recommend this business to anyone nor would I ever want to use the services of someone who could speak so poorly to a new mother to the point where she was emotionally distraught, also causing the business next door to lose business over her selfish act. If you cannot handle a parking discrepancy, how can I trust you to properly care for my dog? If I could give this a 0 star, I would. It costs nothing to be...

I love the Camp and and it's friendly staff. ...
