It was the first time ever going to Norton Raceway Park, and it was a really nice facility. They have put a lot of work in to get it back open. Lots of boards were new in the grandstands. All the signs and buildings looked great. The view from the stands is nice. You can see the whole track with no issue.
The food was good. Decent cheeseburger, tasty chill fries. They did talk up the giant hot dog which I tried also and felt it was just a normal quarter pound dog. Prices are good. What you would expect going to a race. They had shirts for the fist time this year. 16 bucks is a great deal.
The bathrooms are clean and nice. I didn't notice lines to get in through the night.
The racing was good. The track is small with tight turns. The outside line was hard to use, most passes were on the bottom. The crash cleanup were a little slow. Partially because the safety truck and wreckers are in the pits on the turn 3 and 4 end. So it takes a bit longer to go all the way to the other end of the track. I'm sure it will get faster over time. This was their second or third week back open. So they are definitely heading in the right direction.
Norton is a fun place to catch a race. I will definitely come back. It's only an hour and twenty minutes away...
Read moreWent for the first time the night there was trick or treating, allot of fun. My first time at a 1/4 Mile track, and the racing was exciting. My only real complaints are the beers are a lil pricy for 12 oz cans, and the cautions were quite long when there was no cleanup to be done. Also the safety Crews seemed to take their time getting to the cars sometimes. There isn't a bad seat in the house, I will return again and again. The handicap seating is better than any racetrack I've been to, which is cool because I have a friend in a chair and she has never been able to see the racing very good so I look forward to taking her here. Great car count and i would recommend this place to anyone who loves racing. Thanks fo such a...
Read moreBleachers are VERY old and uncomfortable.. even with a cushion. $50 for 2 small cans of Bud Light. 1 lemonade with a bag of sugar in it. 1 small nacho with cheese and a small popcorn. The show we went to was definitely not worth what we paid - $80. Although it may not be their fault, it's not ours either, and we paid for a show. 1 truck ran the show. The others broke down for most of the show, 2 caught 🔥 and my favorite only made it for about 3 minutes before it broke down - again. We were quite disappointed - although they were very apologetic and they tried to get them running again. I will give the announcer props though! Excellent! Great voice, humor, and is very good at...
