06/04/2020 - ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL! STELLAR!
It’s been a little over three weeks since I purchased a full audio upgrade/installation @KingCarAudio w/ Sam. Including soundproofing, dynamate, and sound damping on my original production 07’ Sky. Which I was very reluctant to do because of its year, make, and overall build.
After conversing and speaking acoustics and sound. We developed a plan to do a full system upgrade, top down. Sparing no expense. My goal/catch was to not have any drilling or new holes/cutouts with going forward on this project. If we were to do a full audio upgrade, everything had to be upgraded through the original stock ports/openings (minus the front head-unit on the dash) which I might add looks flawless and seamless, flush and blended with my overall front facade.
He reassured me everything that will be upgraded will be installed and built through the original ports. Of course the new multi-channel DSP Amp would have to be tucked behind where the stock Subwoofer cutout would be. Which was not only fine, but rather efficient.
I was feeling extremely satisfied and comfortable with discussing this project with Sam. He knew this car meant a lot to me, he understood my vision and how I wanted to listen to music in a specific way. He understood what had to be done and what it would take to do it the right way. I remember asking him “ok, so what? Give you guys a call in a few days to possibly set things up?” He replied we can literally start today and get to work on your car. He gave me a ride back, I handed him the keys and the outcome exceeded my expectation ten fold.
We went with a full Sony upgrade (minus the sub due to size and fitting), Sony XAV-AX7000 head unit, Sony GS1631C, Sony DSP 6 channel amp, DB Sub 8-10inch, completely new and updated steering wheel wiring with every stock button working, center microphone for hands free, hidden usb attachment for Apple car play, full custom wiring throughout the entire car for all new audio products. Literally the whole nine yards.
The outcome? 10/10 they not only achieved exactly what I was looking for but then some. The audio is perfect, ideal, and crisp, a true audiophiles dream. The soundproofing and damping is top notch. They made my car even better than what it was before. Nothing messed up, no scratches, lines, out of the ordinary stuff, everything was cleanly done and meticulous. Very meticulous I might add. A big hats off and the price tag suits and equals the work. You get what you pay for. I paid for a top of the line audio installation and overhaul package that is fit for an exotic car or audio engineer.
Hearing sound the way it was meant to be is a true high. Being able to pick out each layer and it’s frequency is an absolute rush. It’s a music studio on four wheels. My diatribe may have been a lot to some, however, I feel it is truly necessary for a purchase such as the one I made, along with those looking for professional, highly skilled, meticulous craftsmanship. For that I thank you and I look forward to recommending your business to my family, friends, and business colleagues. I hope to see you soon. One love and God...
Read moreThese guys really just want to upcharge you. I chose to purchase the deal for "2 Four Button one way remotes and Install". I had read the Groupon and the fine print extensively, even looked on their website for lists of services and prices. I also called to make the appointment and asked for their hours and gave them the make and model of my car and if it would require any special parts and prices- they said the bypass module and otherwise "depends on the car", fair enough. The Groupon fine print only states $100 extra charge for a bypass module and $50 if you have a push-to-start vehicle (I do not). Which I was fine with, but as soon as I got there, before looking at the car, he says I need to pay an extra $50 to be able to enter the car after autostarting while running without shutting it off. I agree to it, begrudgingly and then when I return, they had only given me two one-button remotes. They changed over to the 4 button when I asked and pulled up the Groupon, and when I ask that all the buttons work, they said to have the button that opens the trunk work, I'd have to pay another extra fee. I didn't have time to wait, nor did I want to pay an additional fee for that, so I just paid and left. Their hand-written receipt lists they taxed me twice (once on the Groupon??) and again on the price I paid for the bypass module (listed at 150 on the receipt for some reason?) So now I've basically paid the regular price and went out of my way to do so. Didn't save at all and not satisfied, after having read all the fine print and called and looked at their website. Tried to be a responsible, educated customer to get a deal and it did not help. Don't bother with this Groupon or this place. I'm afraid to even try to go back to have the trunk button enabled, for they'll probably end up charging me another hundred bucks. Not to mention they scratched the inside panel, and installed the antenna where I can always see it while driving on the driver side window. They don't know their own fine print and they need to be up front about the charges and give accurate receipts before they complain about "Groupon customers"...
Read moreIf there were ten stars to give to Mo, I would do it without hesitation! When I met him he promised that my car would be ready by the end of the day on Saturday and there was a huge snowstorm arriving on Sunday. When I didn't hear from him by 7:30 pm I figured he was just like all of the other guys who didn't follow through on their word so my wife and I watched a movie and went to sleep at 11:00. At 11:30 pm the phone rang and it was Mo telling me the car was ready and I could come and pick it up. I couldn't believe it! He said, I told you I would have it for you today! He worked straight through until he finished it, so we went and picked it up. There he and his father were, two proud and really pleasant people giving us all the time we needed for a full orientation to the new stereo. What a tremendous experience, one that I will always talk about! A few days later there was an issue with the XM radio and I drove the car over to Mo. He took the car right into the shop and fixed it immediately and apologized for the problem. He said if there was any further problem that I should bring the car right back. No appointments or phone calls. To make a long story short, there was a problem with the Radio on Pioneers end. Mo was all over it and got the information from Pioneer in California and downloaded an upgrade to fix the glitch and the unit has been flawless since. During this time, He and his father continued to be the nicest guys that I would ever want to do business with! And as an observation on my part, whenever I was in the store there was always, and I mean always, happy customers waiting for their cars or closing a deal. I have told many people about my experience with Mo and his Dad because it is not the way things usually go when you are dealing with people in the sales and service industry today. King Car Audio is a rare Gem and I...
