Fantasy Games — Local services in Notre Dame

Full disclosure, im not one that hangs around for tornaments or FNM or anything so I can't judge that.. but over the years I've got some 40k stuff from here, a few MTG products, and pre-ordered a few MTG boxes.. And, I just feel like all the employees I've interacted with except one guy have just been unpleasant, and Im not a fan of the way they do business.

For example, between ordering and picking up my preorder.. at no point in time had I been told this didn't include the preorder promos... Hey customer, i know you thought it was 25$ more than just preordering on Amazon because you get the cool extra stuff that you don't get when preordering on amazon, but you were wrong friend, and that's on you, have a nice day.

(For the record, I understand that there is a limited number of preorder promo stuff. But you don't just let customers think are getting the 'Preorder promos' when they check out when you know you already ran out of promos. Calling later to see if it was a mistake, and then being told 'oh yeah no, we ran out a few days ago, that's why they weren't in the bag', just isn't very cool.)

Also last time I ordered, for some reason my stuff was 10$ more than my friends who also pre-ordered from them the same day I did.. and when I called to see if it was a mistake, i found out, no, its a feature, the website is set to automatically price-gouge based on sales..

Anyway, there's at least one guy there that's pleasent and helpful, so take some stars.. but I finally decided I won't be back. And there are no other choices in the area, so hello Amazon from here on out..

(Edit after response: I appreciate your response. I honestly don't remember what set or promo it was so it clearly wasn't the end of the world, but thank you for the offer. I can't argue how the pricing on the site works, but I do know that our purchases were the same day within a couple hours, and I know the prices were different, and I know the explanation we were given when we called to ask if there was a mistake was that that's how the site worked. Also.. my comment about not coming back was clearly just heightened frustration at the time because I've pre-ordered with you again since this review =) and I'll probably do it again in the future. It's just to be real with you, myself and others I know shop with you guys because it's whats available to us, not because we like it, and it doesn't have to be that way. I'm sure that's not what you guys want either, so just keep improving I guess is all I'm...

The owner, Mark, who lives next door, is a bitter old fool. After years of selling, buying, and coming to this place, he has finally lost his marbles and with no context or expressed reason, permanently kicked me from the store. Even after confirming that I've never done anything wrong at the store, he still believes this. Because of one person who has it out for me, telling other people lies who have also talked to him, he has decided to still be banned from the store, even when I have proof of my innocence.

Please just go to Amazon, TCG Player, Star City Games, or another local store such as Warehouse Games and Comics found on 620 Edison Rd in Mishawaka. Do not support this store. All mark cares about is greed and making money, to the point even his own workers have left because of his actions.

I will be reporting him through the BBB, department of labor, and any other review sites, including his merchandisers, WOTC, and anyone who will listen. This man has allowed illegal activities to be allowed at his store multiple times, allowing a player there to slander my name, which I will be seeking legal consult for.

These are not threats. You are a grown man Mark. This isn't bullying. You're the business, I'm the consumer. And after reading your other reviews it's clear you are a thief, a jerk, and charge more than other stores for products. Additionally, after being there for more than a decade, you should know my name is spelled, Wess. You're employees bullied me about it Thursday...

The employees are always friendly and happy to help. They are all pretty familiar knowledgeable with most games in the store and if one of them doesn't know, it seems that one of the other people does, it turns out to be their favorite game or something it always works out. They have a huge selection of just about anything you could need or want for your table top games. The selection of tcg products is always good as well. They have the cool full art, showcase, borderless in foil, essentially I'm saying if you want to spend the big bucks and buy retro or any of the above mentioned styles they usually have them. What is really nice though is they also have stuff for the beginners or people who aren't or who can't afford spending a whole lot of money but still wanna have fun and have good, competitive, decks. They offer the regular versions of cards and even have a gently played binder. You can find some really good things in there sometimes. I believe they said they are wanting to or are planning to try and start having singles again of the Pokemon cards. Over all its a great local game store that I want to see keep being around for many years to come. It always has a great fun friendly environment, even when playing tournaments in the back room or just having fun visiting with friends opening cards or going through cards,...
