The Painted Pot STL — Local services in O’Fallon

I'm not typically one to write reviews, but I have been completely blown away by my experiences at The Painted Pot and can't keep it to myself! Donna, the owner, has done a tremendous job of providing an amazing space to create. The Painted Pot offers a wide variety of experiences in addition to painting pottery, including creating pottery on the wheel, glass work, and countless class opportunities. No matter if you're looking for a group activity or are wanting to do something alone for yourself, The Painted Pot is worth checking out!

I recently took a four week course learning how to throw clay on the wheel, and it was such an amazing experience! I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the staff (especially Donna and Maddie), and they provided fantastic instruction throughout.

I can't recommend The Painted Pot...

Very fun. I did their pottery wheel class. We made a serving platter and a dip/salsa bowl. The class size was probably 20-30 people, with 4 staff members walking around to answer questions, give advise, and help fix mistakes when needed. Overall it was a blast, and wasn't too difficult. They had tons of tools, molds, patterns, stencils, and paints to choose from, so you can make your pottery as simple or detailed as you want. My group of 5 were all adults, but there were some kids in the class as well; I'd recommend if for anyone old enough to follow directions.

If you're only interested in painting and not the actual making of the pottery, they sell completed, but unpainted pottery as well. They also had a large selection of fully painted seasonal pottery for sale if you're just looking for decor...

I have visited here many times over the years since I was kid. My sister even had a birthday party here when she was a kid! The past 2 years we’ve gone for my birthday, including last Saturday afternoon. It was so much fun as always! There was a worker (I can’t remember her name unfortunately) that was so nice! She saw it was my birthday bc I had a balloon attached to my chair and she asked if I wanted an extra cupcake they had leftover from a party I think. Then she took a picture of my mom, sister, boyfriend and I all together. She also complimented what I was working on, Emilio the brown rat 🐀 from Ratatouille. 😊 She just made our experience extra special so thank you! All the other staff were very nice as well! I’m so glad there’s a place like this close by for people to go and enjoy...
