Been living in the Americana Area since April of this year, I was a big freaked out about it because the majority of the population or Haitians some are really mean no respect no boundaries and the few that I considered that are well mannered and very professional with the understanding and boundaries and respectful at the same time are the individuals I introduce myself to at this barbershop. I need my hair done right away. I was told to come back later and I did just that. I’m gonna be honest I was extremely nervous because of the language barriers but nothing like the good old Google translator works out very well. Comes in handy thank God for that. I am extremely picky when it comes to getting my hair done and then they’re getting my hair done tonight. I no longer have any type of fear when it comes to allowing others outside my race to do my hair. I’m on my journey To letting my hair grow normally I will usually rock a low fade with some waves. Now that my hair have some length to it. I definitely wanna keep it braided up. I’m not too sure what her name is extremely nice very professional. She gave me a business card after she braided my hair so I’m gonna place that name on here.Ninamoubeauty By the way, please follow her on Instagram and TikTok where she has a plethora of different styles in her portfolio. She is awesome. I am amazed. I am extremely happy. She definitely will be seeing me again often. I am on a really tight budget after she finish my hair. I had to go to the ATM machine to give her more it’s more than right and it clearly shows this woman is very talented. After the word I got an edge up by a Barbara that speaks straight French. I love the way they talk. I don’t understand anything they say, but it was pleasant to him talk.his name is PITEL Great job bro you did very well. You are very pleasant professional. he comes off as a happy, go lucky and a visual very positive which made me even more comfortable to sit in his chair at his work. I was very pleased. I will be coming to him more often as well and given even better tips so now I am happy I don’t have to go all the way across town to get a nice haircut when there is clearly an establishment, a hop and a skip from me Which makes me very happy meaning is very convenient. Today I walked into Playoffs Barbershop, everyone was occupied. However, I spotted Jason the barber and he immediately gave me his full attention and ensured me that he would be right with me as soon as possible. From that moment on Jason was very helpful, patient, and had the best customer service I have inquired from a professional barber in a very long period of time. One of his best qualities I noticed as I was carefully observing his work was that he took his time as if nothing else had his attention except the cut he was perusing at the moment. All together when the haircut was finished I have never been so satisfied with the way my hair was cut then I was when Jason put the clippers to work on my head. He holds all the qualities of a great barber and more at that. Another thing I noticed was his station was more than exceptionally clean. Everything was so put together, neat, and in order to the point where it not only felt like a barbershop, but it felt like a home. With all that being said, I give Playoffs Barbershop a 5 star review and If I could go higher I most definitely would do so. I am only giving this place one stars because my experience was only with one barber and doesn't account for the rest of the barbers. I give ZERO stars for Eddy the barber. I have a South of France cut and asked for a dark burst fade, pretty much the basic South of France fade. He not only cut my sides too low but cut into my long hair. Throughout the day I was pulling out chunks of hair where he cut into my fro. The fade was BLURY. I not only showed him a picture of a South of France cut for reference but it was a picture of his own work from the shop's IG page. Worst of all he slaughtered my hair line. I'm sensitive about my hairline and disclaimed my purpose in having a rounded soft edge up. HOW DO YOU RECEDE A NATURAL EDGED HAIRLINE? He also pushed my line to far up in the back. I communicated my dissatisfaction and his response after taking my $20 was "have a blessed day". Haha! It will take 6 to 8 weeks of the regrowth phase to regain my hairline. Terrible barber to...
