Yummy Heavenly Bits — Restaurant in Oak Ridge

I placed an order with great anticipation, only to not receive what I ordered. Their website is not suited to select more than 3 different flavors to fulfill the dozen, so I left a note on my order with the specific quantities and flavors I wanted. Not sure that this was the right way to do it, I reached out via chat to double check if my order could be fulfilled as requested, which then it was confirmed they would. When I realized the flavors were all wrong, I sent the company an email to let them know how disappointed I was for not getting what I wanted, and their response was definitely not customer focused. Their reply was to ask for my order number (which I didn’t understand it because they could have searched my name and found the order), and how I contacted the company in the first place, so they could look into what went wrong. I provided the info and never heard back again. For such an error, I was expecting some type of reparation but it never happened. The cakes taste okay, in a pinch it works, if you have no other option.

Update: I lowered my rating to 1 star after their reply to my review. It is truly a shame that they are not capable of owning their mistake and offering a solution. I didn’t do anything wrong! The website is not customer centered and placing one single order was an absolute hassle. They are shifting the blame and that seems to be the pattern when they drop the ball, just look at the other customers that had...

I've decided trying yummy honey bit after seeing an Instagram ad. You can find Lebkuchen that is the similar German honey cake in USA, but it's really hard to find the Brazilian honey cake with dulce de leche filling, chocolate or plain. These were delicious and you can see the quality of the chocolate by how it shines. I've tried couple of flavors, I would say not all of them work. But in my opinion Walnut, Dulce de leche and Chocolate were the best ones! The amount of filling and dough were just perfect, sometimes people put less filling but this one just had the perfect balance.

The way they were shipped and the single portion package were so good, this would be an excellent gift to Brazilian folks or Americans who never tried the real Brazilian honey cake. I've placed my order and received in the expected time. You can see how much work and love was put in this brand by the quality of the product, package and website.

I'm glad I've tried and I'm definitely buying more...

Adorable and delicious. Packaging is great and they arrive super fresh. They are authentic “pão de Mel”, a literally sweet memory of my childhood! I ordered doce de leite, coconut and crunchy peanut filling. I love doce de leite, and I was a little disappointed with the doce de leite they use for the filling, since it tastes like the kind you make form the condensed milk can and not the “real” doce de leite, made from milk and sugar… I suggest they change the doce de leite filling for the real deal. I bet anyone who loves doce de leite would agree… they are very generous with the filling! Coconut is delicious, and so is the peanut filling. I will not order doce de leite again, unless they upgrade it.. Even though the packaging is cute and smart, maybe they can think of a more eco-friendly packaging in the future?
