My first time here. I have a barber ive been goin to for years now and decided to try a different shop out of curiosity. Walking in nice place up to date. From there nothing else goes right. So i sit down in the chair. I dont remember the guys name but its not the owner its a taller guy with black hair and tattoos. So as i am sitting there he asks what are we doin today. So i pull my phone out show him a pic of what my hair looks like after a normal cut. Then i tell him its basically a fade.#2 in the sides and a keep the top longer so i can slick it back. The guy looks at me and says theres no way to get the fade higher up like in my pic!!! Whoa really? I shouldve gotten outta the seat at that point. I have never had someone say that they cant fade it that high up. The guy must be a beginner at cutting hair bc even the women at sports clips cut my sons hair and do the same thing as mine and comes out fine every time. So as i sit there he said he can keep the fade a lil lower i said ok ill try it. He begins to cut my hair. After about 15 min in the chair and sitting straight the whole time meaning he wasnt moving the chair around to do sides and stuff. I realized he spent that whole time working on the back of my head and the lower back of my head. I looked at the mirror across from me and was thinking jeez i could see that almost my whole head had the same amiunt of hair on it as when i walked in besides on the back. Which i have not seen yet. He shaves my neck and does the hot towel. Im thinking to myself i know he cant be done yet. He only cut the back of my head. He hasnt faded the sides and trimmed the top yet like i stated and showed him when i sat down before the cut. Sure enough hes done. My hair was dry and he was trying ti slick it back and he goes.. Oooo ur hairs not slicking back. Duh u idiot its dry how the heck would my hair get slicked back dry. So he sprays some water on it then puts some gel in it and boom it slicked back. So next he hands me the mirrior to look at the back. As he spins me around i look into the mirror and it looks like i have a bobb. He cut all the way up on the back almost to the top part of my head nothing else sides were still long. Horrible job. He needs to brush up on his barber skills a lil bc giving people hair cuts they ask for isnt a good way to get repeat customers. I live locally and know alotta people. I would not recomend this place on my worst enemy. I will be sure to let everybody i know that lives local to stay away unless u want ur hair butchered. O yea i forgot he did take a trimmer around my ear and the left side and Right side dont even match. The left side looks like he slipped with the trimmer and took a lil chunk out . the right side looks ok.i didnt say anything bc i dont want them saying ill fix it. U cant cut hair so how are you goin to fix it . i dont want it worse. Take ur hard earned money and go elsewhere that knows how ti cut hair. I dont see them being in business another year giving haircuts out like that!!!...
Read moreGiving 4 stars because there was a hiccup. I had initially gone here for the first time and got my haircut by the guy in the last seat, with the tattooes. Honestly, the worst cut I have ever got. Based description would be a bowl cut, flop top, side part, caught in a wind-storm. Whatever you do, DO NOT let this guy cut your hair under any circumstance. I let the owner know how disappointed I was about the cut. Kyle helped turn the experience around. He reached out to me and offered to salvage the cut as best he could. He still couldn't give me exactly what I wanted because the first butcher had already shaved away parts that hadn't been shaved. However, he did an excellent job and getting it to a point where I could feel comfortable until it grew back to the point where I may just need to get it shaped once between cuts. At any barber shop you are going to have people with less skill than others, but Kyle really went above and beyond to make sure I could feel normal for a couple weeks until I grow back the area's needed to style my hair the way I want. Prior to Kyle fixing me up there was ZERO chance I would have ever come back to the place. Now, I plan on making this my barber shop...with Kyle as my barber. I know there are some other barbers there and I don't want to steer anyone away from them. At this point, based on my experience, stay away from the guy at the end. Kyle is awesome. No experience with the other guys, but I'm sure they would...
Read moreAwesome friendly atmosphere, with even better styles and hair cuts. I've been a frequent customer of Lucky's for the past 2 years now after being completely dissapointed by multiple other barber shops in the area. Very clean venue, with gaurentee that ESPN/Sportscenter will be on front and center as soon as you walk in, and the staff are super knowledgeable in just about any sport/current events which definitely counts to 99/100 guys going to grab a quick cut and to shoot the b/s lol but honestly a 10/10 experience! The last barber shop you will need to find if you live in the area because no one compares to Lucky's!! Highly Recommend you visit on...
