Fish Camp General Store — Local services in Oakhurst

DO NOT BUY SNOW CHAINS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The snow chains are required to enter Yosemite Park at SNOW times of the year. We were driving a new 4WD Nissan Pathfinder and STILL HAD TO CARRY CHAINS. So abiding by the rules, we turned around from Yosemite Park Gate on rt 41 and stopped at GENERAL STORE in FISH CAMP, CA a couple miles from Yosemite Park entrance because they advertised SNOW CHAINS via banner in front of store We spent $160.00. We never opened them AT ALL to use them, as the sun had melted all the ice on the roads at NOON time of day in mid-April. Sunny days are hot in high elevations this time of year. Upon leaving the park, I pulled out the receipt for the SNOW CHAINS and STAMPED IN RED: NO RETURNS ON SNOW CHAINS was on my Receipt. Stopping to return them, in no way, shape, or form would they take them back untouched WHY NOT CHARGE A $30.00 RESTOCKING FEE FOR UNOPENED PRODUCT INSTEAD OF SCREWING THE CUSTOMER?!...

I love shopping at small town businesses, so our family decided to make a special trip while staying at the Tenaya Lodge. We did not necessarily need anything, but just wanted to shop and grab some souvenirs. Unfortunately, as soon as we walked in we were greeted by an extremely grumpy old man. I then told my two young girls that we are just going to leave. The grumpy old man ran us out of the store using profanity and rushed us very aggressively, and went to his truck to grab something. Go see "mom"! Great place!! stopped in here after a gut feeling. Prices are actually not that bad -for being such a small store (definitely much better than the lodge up the road) But most importantly the girl in there (I can only remember she went by mom)... Was so friendly♥️ Mom, you'll remember this tank top when you sees it‼️‼️‼️😉 And I'm dedicating it to her, friendly people like her out there in this world and of course this super nice establishment.
