Rustic Retreat — Local services in Oakhurst

This home is beautiful, comfortable and located inside Yosemite toward the south entrance nearby Mariposa Grove. Though there are many sites in the immediate vicinity sadly we weren't able to partake due to the Washburn fire (We spent the first bit of the trip traveling up to see El Capitan/Half Dome/Three Brothers, Vernal Falls, Curry Village, Yosemite Village, Swinging Bridge beach, and in and around that area.) Then we were evacuated 2 days into a 4 night stay. The home manager was communicative and helpful during the whole ordeal. Aside from that, this designer home is beautifully crafted and lovingly maintained. Hope to get to go back someday and really take in all the Wawona area...

From the second we unlocked the huge carved door of this "Rustic Retreat" we knew we were in for something special. There was so much care taken in this log home and it really showed in every detail. Everything was updated, clean and comfy. It was such a welcome place to come back to after a long day of hiking Yosemite. The hot tub really came in handy at the end of the day. And it was so conveniently located in the park. Yosemite is special no matter what, but staying in this beautiful "cabin" enhanced the experience. Check in and check out process was a breeze. Beautiful home in Wawona area of Yosemite. The two upstairs bedrooms each have 2 bunks in addition to the king bed which would make each bedroom great for a family of four. This home would be ideal for 2 families of four and grandparents. We had an exciting adventure when we accidentally locked ourselves out of the house while using the hot tub - no cell phones! What was amazing is that once we got to the rental next door, there was an emergency after hours hotline which connected us to a gentleman who came to our rescue within 5 minutes....
