5/17/25 Update: I've been living here for over four years now, and I truly can't imagine living anywhere else in the world. Everything I said below remains true, but I just wanted to take a moment to acknowledge Ray. He’s not just a member of the leasing staff — he’s the soul of this community. Ray consistently goes above and beyond, not only organizing thoughtful, fun events for all of us but also showing up for our private celebrations — birthdays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and more. His presence makes this place feel like home. We truly don’t deserve the kind of care and connection we have here, and so much of that is thanks to him. Ray, you are deeply appreciated! About the building: There’s no such thing as perfection, but The Skylyne comes pretty close. I hope my transparency helps you in your decision to live here. The good: 1. The amenities are second to none. The gym, social lounges, co-working space, screening room, rooftop hot tub/pool/BBQs, and the mailroom are beautifully designed, well-maintained, and cleaned every day. You will fall in love with the view from the rooftop — it never gets old. 2. The location is right across the street from BART, in a walkable and lively area, close to freeways and more. 3. The staff will bend over backward to help you. Honorable mentions go to Aldrin, Jesse, Tasha, Tiasha, Malena, Ricardo, and Anthony. The leasing staff don’t stop caring about you and your experience after you move in. Many of them live in the building and understand what residents face on a daily basis. The bad: 1. It's a new building and not necessarily tried and true. The water pipes keep bursting and flooding multiple floors, though we’re still told they’re strange one-off occurrences that cannot be explained. Luckily, my unit hasn’t been affected, but it causes a lot of damage and disrupts the lives of many residents. This isn’t the staff’s fault — they’re doing everything they can — but it leaves you wondering what’s next, and whether you’d feel safe in your home during an earthquake or major emergency. 2. Amenities like the rooftop and movie room close at 11 p.m. 3. There isn’t enough parking for all residents, so many park their cars in the BART parking lot. Break-ins are common there, and even my car was broken into while parked on the fourth floor of the building’s garage. 4. If you don't mind moving every year, you could save about $2,000 annually. Some of my friends have managed to do this multiple times, since the building has to show at least a 1% increase to renew a lease, but will often offer deals to move units. The family: Everyone in the building is immediately warm and welcoming. If you come out to the hot tub around 9 p.m., you’ll meet some of the most compassionate and generous people I’ve ever encountered. This place is perfect if you're single and not from the Bay Area — the minute you want to go to Safeway or Costco, grab coffee or dinner, unwind after work at the gym or hot tub, or go out to a music festival or clubbing, you’ll find friends to join you. There’s an active social group that plans weekly/monthly game nights, movie nights, Sunday family dinners, weekend brunches, and outings. We worked hard to build this community, and whenever I’m away, I can’t wait to come back home to my SkyFam. There’s nowhere else in the world I’d rather be, and I feel lucky every day to be part of this family. I'm truly grateful and proud to call The Skylyne my home.

Building and Management: I've lived here just about 7 months and finally feel I have enough experience as a tenant to give a solid recommendation. This place has gone through many recent challenges over time due to factors such as Covid health restrictions, occupancy increases, parking snafus, pet/owner issues, etc. you name it and I'd have to say the building management, for the most part , has always done their best to put the interests of the tenants first to ensure a very positive experience here. Despite some recent Draconian approaches, which I hope change soon, towards usage of and the closure of many amenities. Most concerning for me is the pool deck with the hot tub which are now completely closed at 10pm. I have found most tenants say they like living here in this building. Key Staff: Special shout outs to some key staff that have really made this a truly enjoyable and livable space. Ricardo, who is the Maintenance Manager has really come to the rescue many times for not only me, but other tenants in need at at some of the most brutal early morning hours to save the day or rather night in some cases. He has enabled some our key high maintenance requiring items important to us i.e. grills/pool/hot tub/deck area amenities to stay working and get back online quickly when notified. Our lead concierge and security person, Tasha, I notice everyday always goes above and beyond her normal duties which impresses me daily. I'm so glad we have Tasha for she absolutely contributes to make this place a truly great place to live. And lastly, I am happy because this place is kept neat and clean. Our building's Porter, Anthony, is ever watchful and relentlessly keeps our common areas clean. Not an easy task for we have very many floors and common spaces which see quite a bit of use. Thank you everyone who works here!

I have lived in this building since it was managed by Greystar, but it only truly felt like home when Bozzuto began to manage it. This isn't an apartment complex, it's a family and let me tell you about its members. First, there's Brian the manager - the head of the family - someone who's formal and upright - but also knows how to keep the wine and conversation flowing at holiday gatherings. He's caring, empathetic, and really pays attention to who you are as a person, just not one of his many tenants. Then there's the heart of the family - Tasha, the concierge and mama bear who has your back and always goes out of her way for her people. She cares so much, puts every bit of effort in possible, and strives to make our lives easier, brighter and better every day. When I'm in back to back meetings, I can hit up Tasha who will send that sushi delivery guy up so that I have sustenance before the next massive presentation. If I've got a laptop or expensive piece of equipment en route, Tasha's got me, making sure I don't miss timely deliveries and that the most precious of them are treated appropriately. She's the one who makes sure the package and food delivery people are acting right, and that we never have a lost christmas present during the holiday season. She's friendly, helpful, efficient, like could not ask for a better sorority mother and I feel like Then there's your two sisters, concierges Melayna and Navaeh. Melayna is nights and she's the sister who's got partner in crime and BFF vibes - always down to help with everything/anything and definitely there to chat life's challenges through. When I broke my wrist a few years back she was extra helpful, sending food my way, and making sure I had an ear to cry to while trying to walk two dogs with a bum wrist. Navaeh, weekends, is the beauty tips "that would look so good on you!" sister, the one you go to for advice. She's always put together AF, quick with both compliments and package room codes and she never lets a sephora instacart delivery get left in the lobby - Navaeh is on point to get the beauty and foodie necessities you need straight to your door. She's also the face I count on weekends and holidays, somehow managing to stay chipper and upbeat despite crazy holiday double shifts or crazy people trying to sneak in the building. Then there's Angel, the king of pugs and social events. He's your cool and amazing cousin who organizes mixers, gaming tournaments, and pug yoga. The effort he puts into the social calendar at the building is incredible, and you can always count on him and his tiny pug azula to be sporting the height of fashion and likely matching. There are many others, but the family is REAL and you feel it being a part of this community. I'm beyond grateful to each of them every day for making this the truly inclusive and special community that...

We’ve been living at Skylyne for over a year now and are really enjoying it. There were a few issues when we first moved in but things improved significantly when the new management company Bozzuto took over several months ago.

My wife and I have had past experience with the two other big apartment management companies in the bay area and really hated the service and community experience. You move into fantastic modern building and those companies treat you like royalty as ā€˜prospects’ but soon after you sign the lease you realize that your status is demoted to ā€˜tenant’ at which point you are of little interest to the front desk. They are in the business of getting leases signed with no great interest in retention.

Happily, it’s not like that at all here at Skylyne! The front desk is exceptionally helpful and the 24 hour concierge service is always friendly, focused on security and ensuring that you get your packages and so forth.

We are especially fond of Trisha! Many of the door dashers like to just drop food off at the desk and run off without completing the delivery. When my wife was pregnant and in dire need of fried chicken from Brenda’s, Trisha always made sure that the food made its way directly to our door! In fact, once when a dasher just left the food outside at the wrong door, Trisha went above and beyond to try and locate it for us. She also makes sure that all our packages are quickly logged and neatly organized for us to pickup. And we always enjoy chatting with her coming in and out of the building. Day to day it’s all these little things that count and we really appreciate it.

On top of that, the building is always clean and well maintained thanks to Ricardo, Anthony and the cleaning staff. There are periodic social events and surprise goodies like wine, donuts, and other treats. The staff, Jessie in particular, does a great job of organizing nice little events where you have a chance to meet your neighbors. The vibe here is very friendly.

In short we can’t say enough about the personal touch, professional service and friendly community here.

Leon &...
